Limited government, limited spending, no federal welfare, and the people self regulate. That's the Constitution, and that's America, not your socialist, wellfare, hellfare version.
Good heavens. Some people on this site certainly need to do some more open-minded research of the causes of our current crisis. Research what happened to the deficit under Reagan and Bush. Research what happened to regulations put in place to protect the middle class under Reagan (although I know Clinton signed one of the bills that eliminated protections - so no party is perfect). Research what the Republicans fought for in the health care debates - insurance industry profits.
First off, Wall Street contributes more, on the whole, to Democratic candidates than Republicans. The housing bubble/burst had nothing to do with GOP Governors, or their behavior, but from the Community Redevelopment Act and the reckless activity of Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae. No oversight at all. BO inheritied a recession and has done EVERYTHING WRONG possible. Reckless spending, tax increases. B.Frank and C.Dodd make B.Madoff look like an amateur. Frank and Dodd should be facing charges.
Really John Kasich who was the one who balanced the budget for Bill and you say failed policies I'm an Independent and know that and I will call you out on it on my show
The inflationary monetary policies of the Federal Reserve were the primary contributor to our current economic downturn. Search youtube for "Peter Schiff was Right".
The housing bubble was inflated by both Democrats AND Republicans. If you think Republicans didn't contribute to the bubble you're living in lala-land. Evidence: search youtube for "bush home ownership".
Wow, this video has enough holes in it to throw the moon through it. You really think the solution to a economic downturn caused by Clinton is socialism brought on by Obama and your failures of Democrat Governors? Move to France, where they welcome communists.
Economic downturn caused by Clinton? Where have you been for the last eight years? The Bush administration squandered the biggest budget surplus in history. He also wanted to privatize Social Security. That would have been a nightmare!
Clinton. Obama, and most of the Democrats pushed to give loans to people who couldn't afford them during Bush's presidency, while almost every Republican was against it, Clinton and Obama led to tons of people getting loans that they never paid back, leading to the economic collapse. Clinton even regretted doing it a while back, but all the liberals in the media didn't report it.
The government was in debt a long time before the economic downturn, and in fact was in debt during the best economic years of Bush's presidency, so your claim holds no water. The government's level of surplus or debt had little effect on the economic downturn. Oh, and this "disaster" is NOT the biggest since the great depression, that fact is false and is being spread by liberals to blame it on Bush.
But the Democrats weren't in power for 75 percent of that time, so how did they manage to outsmart those wise, vigilant Republicans?
What is this pushing? Who did they push? Was actual legislation involved? Was it a government program?
Are you talking about Bill Clinton? He wasn't in office, so he could have lobbied, but the Republicans were in power, so he would have had to lobby the Republicans.
You know, Kev, it wasn't the French who elected Obama President, it was the Americans. Obama's positives have been polling in the low to mid fifties while the negatives have been in the low to mid thirties... among Americans. You are free to dissent, of course. Not voting for the current President doesn't make less of an American, but it doesn't make you more of an American. If you can't see us as Americans, you're too disconnected from reality to pay any attention to.
Rick Lazio?? Is he still around? Is he the best they got?
Rick Lazio is the Annie Oakley of shooting yourself in the foot. In 2000, this guy was running against Hillary Clinton for the senate in New York. He made a big deal about pushing her into signing a "no soft money" agreement, and when she signed, he broke it almost immediately. From that point on, he was doomed.
I wonder if he's gotten any smarter since then. He could hardly have gotten dumber.
Wow, what a load of ignorance.

Ahh, the blame game. No plan, no clue whatsoever, years of failure, horrific president. Never voted straight Republican before - until this year.

It takes a Carter to get a Reagan!
Of course we can afford a GOP comeback. We can't afford to NOT have one.

The banks are responsible for their own loans, I'm talking about the budget surplus that Bush squandered, not the banking collapse.

We'll have a big moment in a couple of days.
If the Republicans block discussion of the Health Reform Bill in the Senate, Democrats will gain even more Senate Seats in 2010.
