Invincible was a very good album, it just had too much ballads in my opinion.
It had songs like Heartbreaker, Unbreakable, Invincible, Whatever Happens, Threatened, You Rock My World, as well as the ballads (i prefer the pop songs myself however.
The reason it didnt get as much sales as his other albums is mainly because only 3 singles were released from the album, compared to the 7 or so from Thriller, Bad and Dangerous, along with various other reasons
Yeah because no pop star over the age of 50 can put on a decent show. I guess George Michael, Madonna, Cher and Tina Turner don't know what they're doing and are just a bunch of hacks.
He was past his prime, as evidenced by the single spin he does each time he does his spin, he just couldn't do the crazy moves any more. But he was still smooth in his movements and never did more then his present condition would allow. He still dances better (in the flick) then Madona did even in her prime. He still looks amazing and sounds great. Past his prime. Yes. Still better then all the shit pop artists today. Defintely.
They said they have more footage. Sony is keeping the movie in theaters untill thanksgiving. I saw it on halloween and I love it Thriller was the best part in my opinion because it my favorite song.
Additionally, The "Invincible" album was not a disappointment in comparison with the other albums at the time. Maybe it do so hot as his other albums, maybe. But it surely wasnt a disappointment!
Oh and how could you think the "Invincible" album was disappointing ?? It had songs like : You Rock My World, Break of Dawn, Speechless and Threatend !! The only reason this did'nt sell as well in my opinion was because during this time MJ had a argument with Sony and as a result did not advertise it. I could'nt find the album anywhere where i am. And the album still went platinum
Firstly I honestly don't think that he lost a step. But what really blew me away was the standard of his singing. He sang all his songs much better than the 1987 bad tour. In terms of leaving out songs, he did not leave out Heal the World, it appears in the credits of the movie, maybe the footage is there who knows. And there is one final thing i have to disagree with, this would have been the GREATEST CONCERT EVER ASSEMBLED, not of the decade. i would give it a well deserved 9.5/10.
