Poker Chip Tricks - Tutorial 9 - The Knuckle Roll

THIS SHIT CHIP DOESN'T EVEN STAY ON MY THUMB.

Question- as I'm practicing (note, I have small hands and fingers), the chip keeps slipping down (i.e. towards my palm if my hand is level and flat, with the palm down). How do you stop the chip from slipping? I keep wanting to use my thumb to push it back, but everyone seems to leave their thumb out of the way when they do the knuckle roll fast.

Or are my hands/fingers just too small to do the knuckle roll?

Just practise. I have alot of skin between my fingers close to the knuckles so I also have problems with this one.

My best tip is to not spread your fingers too much.

oh yeah! kilmer can do that kind of stuff really well....in fact thats one of his trade marks in movies...lots of times he'll just be twirling objects with his hands...ive seen him do it in saint, tombstone, and real genius....very cool trick especially if you can really get it down:)

My guess is that it doesn't matter how fast you can do the first part, I would just slow down the entire thing so the pinky can catch up... even if it looks like you are nearly frozen in time doing it.... that's all I can say since I take forever in doing it, but I can catch it on the last part.

definitely a 2 euro piece.. i've been doing this trick for years and the 2 euro coin is the best (together with the US dollar quarter)

a general advice from my side is to lift the "catching" finger up quite a little bit, so you can then pull the coin/chip downwards after it hat traversed the finger it's supposed to roll over.. this is especially important when the using bigger chips or large coins

i know this guy who can do it over his knuckles then do the same under his hand then uses his thumb to bring it back and start over. very fast too!!! i took him a year of practice!

the way i learnt was to put my first finger the lowest and put my middle 3rd and pinky above my first so its like stairs and when done the coin roll my pinky was at the bottom and my first finger was at the top hope this helps and makes sence its hard to explain lol cheers great vids too m8

if it's hard to do with a chip, you can start training with a pen and do the same but with a pen instead.

good vids. i do a few tricks, this isnt realy a chip trick, but its good for making the hand stronger. i like the way you start your ecuator tricks. i use my thumb to start the tricks, kinda like the thumb flip. for some people it might be a bit easya? give it a go and see if u get the same result? letmeknow.
