I'm a plumber from the UK. We don't have 'house traps'. Was there not a cleaner way to open that trap? it would have helped if the barrel had have been placed below the trap too, not adjacent to it!
Also we have an 'interceptor' outside the property. We tend to rod from these and therefore avoid flooding the place with shit! Anyway love the vids.
One of my friends is a plumber. I asked him about this video and he says that this plumber could have lost his license for doing this. Also, the DEC could impose a heavy fine for discharge of raw sewage. Not to mention that the building could be condemned. This plumber's liability insurance would have to cover the damage not the homeowners insurance.
He also said that if the drain couldn't be snaked from the roof or from the street side of the trap a better option would be to drill a hole in the cleanout to release the sewage slowly so as not to cause a flood.
He also says that the house trap should be removed if it is legal to do so. House traps were banned in my area a long time ago.
Unreal!!!! What plumber would pull the cleanout plug in the basement when the ENTIRE line is full??? "I know someone you can call." "Your insurance will cover it." Plumbers are in the business to protect the health of people. Hopefully the old man did not die from the craps!
alot of buildings have rat traps which always get clogged and are proven to be a failure therefore he couldnt use a snake to pass through it so fuck you captian cannuk
bit rude making the poor 90 year old clear up the mess.... also im sure he could have made a better attempt of stoping it going everywhere in the 1st place lol
Mixing work and pleasure, the true sign of a real professional. Good place to find a wife. Why would this asshole open the line at the lowest point of gravity? How about going to the top floor and snaking the line to the street ASSHOLE. THIS GUY doesn't even have a sewer snake!! Why is he doing things he is not equiped or know how to do?
listen i dont know where u from but there is a fitting call building trap, u cant pass it with the snaeks, for he could done better if he tries to clear the building trap from athe out side clean out...
