  • Sorry, daughter!

  • I just love donkeys. I know little about them but I think they are wonderful.

I think buddy is saying, "I've been smoking them cigars and pacing for hours. Let me see my son. Oh, and by the way, I love you , Rachel."

  • cuuuute

  • Just curious....is it normal for mother donkeys to keep the fathers at bay when a newborn arrives? I thought to myself, "Well gee, Rachel, why won't you let Buddy see the baby?" Poor Buddy....

  • Of course it's normal! The mother of any species will keep the males away, and will keep other adults away from her baby as well, until it's at least a few days old. Notice the mother donkey getting in between the cameraman and the baby as well. He's too young for the cameraman to be pestering them - should leave them alone for a while. Cows and mares will also defend their young.

  • oh gosh.. that's so sweet..

  • Isn't it wonderful to see a new miracle born. That Donkey is going to grow up into a beautiful Donkey.

  • Precious!!!!
