I like to watch your show a lot and I agree more times than not, but I must say I do NOT see the inheirent racism in the ad. Sure, it pulls on emotional and religious heart-strings, but not racial ones. Not in my opinion, anyway.

The sad truth seems to be that people in Tennessee would rather vote for a home grown guy regardless of his probable lack of experience in politics than someone who is actually experienced in politics.

Corker is an accomplished businessman who later became the mayor of Chattanooga and was instrumental in revitalizing that city. Ford is a Congressman who basically inhereted that role when his father decided not to run again.He never had a job after law school.He is unqualified for just about any position.He comes from a political family from Memphis, many of which have been caught in scadals and have been convicted

This isn't racist. It sounds like generic "uplifting/epic" world music. The beat is under statements about both candidates. Plus, the "angelic vocals" sound like typical soul/gospel vocalizing. The kind of music I hear at my black church. Watch the right kind of movie and you'll easily hear a generic tom-tom beat like that behind some epic scene. When they show the bad guys, you hear sinister low strings on top of the beat. It's generic and lame, not racist.

You don't think that code language or actions are done in campaign ads. Race was a huge issue in this Senate race in Tennessee because Tennessee is a southern state and Ford is a black candidate. Just because someone thinks this way doesn't always mean they are trying to be politically correct. It is like call it like it.
