My Tonkinese likes to hold my hand and nibble gently on my fingers. He also jumps up onto my back and shoulders and gives me kitty kisses, purring the whole time. Sometimes, he will just sit nearby and gaze up at me with his light blue eyes and a soft kitty smile. Cats can be so demonstrative when it comes to showing how much they love us, can't they? And people say that cats don't really love us!

They've only ever seen the neutral expressions of cats, so this leads them to thinking that all cats don't show expressions of genuine love towards their owners/caretakers. Most of these people probably don't even keep cats, and they've only been able to observe from 3rd person point of view. But seeing isn't always believing. Even if they did keep cats, they probably didn't bond with it well enough to reach that level...
