well if you think about it most clases on fps boil down to either: big slow guy who takes a lot of hits and does massive damage , little fast guy who cant take a hit but does even more damage if used well tactically and the heal bot... as you level up in the different classes you can alter their weapon layout for example at level 2 a soldier has a chaingun and a shotgun but at higher levels you can change the shotgun for an auger or even a rocket launcher :D

team fortress 2 and killzone 2 does something very similar but they add other clases that can fill in certain aspects of the 3 basic clases such as engieneers who specialise in dealing lots of damage.

i was just saying resistance uses a very simplified version of the class system by providing the players with only the bare nesscesities

size isnt everything. thats why i didnt like ROFM1 online but with viechles included thats going 2 b awesome cause resistance has some crazy ass veichles and with 60 players we're talking about matches on an epic scale. clans r going 2 fucking love this game

Bungie makers of halo are piss of at these guy b/c there making a 60 player online game modes and Bungie said they cant do it but i be leave they can b/c anything is can be done if you put your mind to it :)

Bungie can't have that many players because 360's online system can't take anymore than 18 players. XBox is sheerly not powerful enough.

there's an fps for the ps3 and probably pc called M.A.G that can apparently host 256 people in one game without lag (while it seems imposible think about it there are mmos that can have 250,000 people in one server with (almost) no lag)

can someone tell me why some games can have 18 or 16 players online only and then resistance has 40 why dont all online fps have up to 40 palyers or more?

Resistance has dedicated servers while a lot of games are based on the XBox system of an individual being the host which can't handle anymore than 16-18 players.

Dedicated servers means that there is a better internet connection(no lag), it can take more players, and is way more reliable. Just like with WarHawk which can take 32 player instead of 16 because it has dedicated servers.

i just hope that insomniac realizes that size isnt what makes an online game, which is why i really didnt like the last game online very much even though i was blown away by the campaign. the whole online problem, in my opinion, could be solved by putting in viechles which they are! so get ready for online madness, get ready for an awesome campaign, and get ready 4 an incredibly strategic online co op.
