Oh and as for you farmers and business owners, my heart hurts for your loss. BUT, you built your establishment in a "SPILLWAY". That means that there is a high probability of FLOODWATER. Your opinion on weather or not Big Morganza should be opened, matters little in the face of a concept, that the entire flopping State is gonna get flooded if they the gates aren't opened. This is what happens when you build in the Spillway. *end rant*

Yeah yeah yeah "we might open them, we might not". This is the kind of stupid inability to make decisions on the part of the Corps of Engineers that got New Orleans in trouble with Katrina. A.) Are you going to open the gates B.) When.
Tell the residents of Louisiana what your going to do, and at least give them a friggin chance to prepare. Stop waiting till the last damn minute to make a disastrous decision. Bunch of assholes.
