That was my very first car, a 1986 Cutlass Ciera Brougham sedan. V6 with a carburetor and it had a digital gauge cluster. Lots of bad reviews on it but I found it quite enjoyable to drive. The recessed headlights were the real kicker. Reliable as well, it never left me stranded.
Ah, the "Tri-State Car Dealer" commercials - I grew up in South Jersey in an area that had NYC-area stations, and have many tapes with "Tri-State Car Dealer" ads on them.
I actually remember these Oldsmobile ads with the "Good Olds Guys" - it's amazing what you remember when something hits your the right way!
