Quite right. The Ox would start and end with a pick on MG but slap the shit out the bass in between. This is an excellent job at a faitful recreation. Not an easy song to play, a near impossible solo to follow given the sheer nature of the man WHO made it famous but this kid nails it! Nice job!

In '65 I begged our 7th grade band bass player to learn this song for our band.He learned the basic parts, but when the solo came around, I made the bass player stop playing and I just hummed it on the microphone through the amp. I smile as I see the genius of it being played for the first time close up and personal. I wish I knew my bass players email address. I would mail this video to him and he would get such a kick out of this practiced gentleman playing the song,and it is nailed.
