WOW -- that was amazing! I don't think I've ever been so rewarded by a Google search. I was looking for "Annie productions in different languages" (long story why) and this is what I found! You are the BEST! :D I'm not surprised by how well this has translated across the world. What a blast to watch this collage -- thanks for making it.
Katarinaz, This is March 24, 2010 and how wonderful that folks as myself are still viewing this. What work you have put into this, and how lovely, lovely it really is. We thank you, and certainly appreciate.
Does anybody know why only Stephanie Van Rooijen did the cast recording? I mean, there were 10 Dutch Annies, why did only she get to record the soundtrack?
Hey! What a great mix! Thank you :D I've been looking for the norwegian version of annie for a long time. Where did you find them? Can you send them to me?
Are you talking about Frida Von Schewen or Maria Hazell? Frida is the one with the two missing front teeth, and Maria is the one singing Maybe. I personally think Maria Hazell is adorable, but Frida is kinda frightening looking with those teeth missing.
It's a shame there's nothing from the norwegian 1991 version. I auditioned for that! Saw it several times as one of my friends mothers worked at the teathre!
I disagree that the israeli annie sucks. i think she does the songs different, but it doesnt suck at all. coolgirl4496: i was in stockholm in 1999 and saw the swedish production. it was AMAZING. norwegians and swedes (and danish people) understand each other. the languages are very similar. and, its not me who had that great annie-website. its my swedish friend whos name is also katarina. i think her website will be up and running again soon
CoolGirl4496! For the last time, mabye Katarina's friend doesn't want to update her website because she is sick of you forcing her to update it! Why do you force people to do things that they don't want to do! DAMN! Get a life DumbGirl4496!

The Spanish orphans in "Hard Knock Life" sound like mice at the beginning.
The best is the Annie from Sydney, the Israeli orphans, the UK orphans, and of course Andrea McArdle. The Malmö is not so bad either, but Stockholm is. I don't care for the Dutch or Oslo versions either. The Dutch Annie looks like a boy and the orphans are scary. The Norwegian ones just aren't very good singers (with the exception of their Annie).
I like the Annie from the Netherlands and the 1978 London revival one. My favorites are Marissa 'O Donnel and Andrea McArdle. Good job on this video! 5 stars!!!!
I'm from the UK and I collect soundtracks from Annie, too. I've got most of the English ones and the Dutch one, but I'm struggling to find the foreign ones.
I had my first 'Annie' performance as Orphan Sam today, It was SO exciting! It's going to be my last school play, Since 'Annie' is a very famous musical, I thought it would be a nice way to celebrate my retirement my school's drama department.
And... Even though u have critizised her alot, Frida von Schewen (one of the 3 Annies in the '99 Stockholm production) is GREAT. I wish I still had this other video of her singing "Tomorrow". She (and the 2 other girls) was 9 years old, but Frida looked younger, because she still missed her front teeth! I saw this production, but with Maria Hazell, one of the other girls. She was really good too, but Frida has the best voice!!
Hey everybody! Thanks for all the comments on my video!! For those of you who wondered HOW I got all the photos and sounds, well, I was a hardcore ANNIE fan for many years. When u make friends with other ANNIE fans, u find stuff! I actually don't have it anymore, cause my harddrive was stolen :-(
BTW, Andrea McCardle is not the original Annie. Before the show went to Broadway, it had a 10 week run at Goodspeed Opera House in Conneticut and Annie was played by Kristen Vigard, the first EVER Annie. Andrea McCardle was an orphan in the show then and just before the show went to Broadway, they gave the part to her instead.
That is a heck of a job you did tracing all of those versions of the soundtrack down. BTW, where did you get the stuff with the time code numbers running through it?
Personally I don't like the sweden Annies. It was pretty scary when in the Norway Tomorrow she was smooth and gentle until this choppy toothy girl butted in.
The Dutch Hard Knock Life is the best. But the Israeli's one is cool too :) And then the Swedish Fully Dressed is pretty good. But no one can top Sndrea Mcardle's Tomorrow.
i like the england version of hard knock life, the sweden version of tomorrow , the norway version of maybe and the spanish version of never fully dressed :D
De nederlandse annie heeft een hele goede stem, alleen omdat ze op die foto's raar staat vind haar lelijk? Die foto's zijn gemaakt toen ze aan het zingen was daarom staat ze er een beetje raar
I like the Australian version and Marissa O'Donnel. The Swedish and Spanish children sound younger, that's so cute. I like those as well. At home I have the CD of the Dutch 1997 version with Natalie van Gent, great too. I guess I'm just an Anniefan!! And about Stephanie van Rooyen, I do like how she looks, only that wig....thats not her thing...
I think that for "It's A hard Knock Life" Dutch is the best, but the Hebrew one is cool too. Andrea Mcardle is awesome in "Tomorrow",and all the European languages sound good in "You're Never Fully Dressed."
Ik vind die van Spanje echt heel leuk ! =D maar nederland ook hoor ! Stephanie vind ik wel knap, mar deze foto's zijn alleen een beetje raar genomen, omdat ze aan het zingen is !
Hello Caitlinette, were did you learn to speak Dutch this good? And from which country are you? I'm curious because for people from other countries Dutch is a very difficult language to learn...
What's up with the Israeli version sounding ultra poppy? It's kinda cool...But "Tomorrow" sounds like a recording of a lullaby for 4-year olds. I really like the Dutch versions. I love the Dutch language. It suits "Annie" so well I think.
The Norwegian was also very good.
