Actually, Chiropractor's clean up the mess that MD's make. Medication makes the body do what or doesn't want to do which is very unhealthy. Chirpractic does not cause strokes, I've seen many cases in which Chiropractic has the stroke patient fully mobilized and talking right in the very first day whereas if they were under an MD's supervision, it would take months if not years for them to be close to halfway of normal.
there's little harm in chiropractic, and even less benefit for that matter. Actually, when a chiropractor with their limited knowledge tries to pretend what they are NOT (medical doctors), is when they get into big trouble. sometimes they try to be heroes and do stuff that is out of their scope of knowledge, and ends up with a big law suit
You are partially right. There is little to no harm with chriopractic adjustments, but there are major benefits. As far as limited knowledge, wrong again. Chiropractic physicians have the same amount of doctoral acedemic hours (more in anatomy and physiology) as medical doctors do. And why would a chiropractic pretend to be a medical doctor? They are treating patients without the needles, drugs or surgery? Please do your research before spreading nonsense.
Actually, there is a lot of harm: lying to patients about the soruces of their ailments, lying about means in which health problems can be treated, instilling fear into parents of children, plus the physical harms, like the 200+ strokes encountered last year as a result of chiropractic neck manipulation that was seen in my clinic (with NEUROLOGISTS aka MEDICAL DOCTORS) Chiropractic does what it will, and real medicine has to clean up the mess
agree this is what happens when you get little knowledge and call your self a "doctor" that causes the problem. How come major Universties dont have chiropractic schools, ie, UCLA, USC, NYU, lol. they have thier independent college though.
Look at the research. Giles LGF, Muller R. This study was a direct comparison of medicine and chiropractic treatment of low back pain. In 9 weeks, 27% of the chiropractic patients had NO MORE PROBLEMS!!! The medicine group was only 5%....wow way to go! NO SIDE EFFECTS with chiropractic. Almost 20% of the medical patients had side effects. By this standard, the medicine harmed more than 3X more patients, than it helped.
I doubt faith healers have 5 years University training & over 200 clinic hours experience prior to graduating. I also doubt the Australian Goverment would include Chiropractic as a valid form of treatment for Workers Compensation, DVA & the EPC Scheme through Medicare if there was no evidence Chiropractic was beneficial. The thing that I find most amusing is the number of GP's, Physios and Specialists who continue to try their hand at manipulation. Please leave manipulation to the experts!
@bicardii75 You find it amusing that other health diciplines try to emulate chiropractic? What do they know that you don' know? Now that's amusing....

Yes. It important for people to know that Chiropractic is not based on any medical evidence or scientific research of any kind. It's officially labeled as "alternative medicine" and is in the same class as aroma therapy, faith healing, etc. After countless studies, Chiropractic has never been proven to be more useful than a simple massage. See the Chiropractic Wikipedia page for much more info.
Because we all know Wiki is a source of good scienctific research...try Medline or PubMed and find over 2,000 articles on chiropractic. Oh and by the way, you contradict yourself, first you say chiropractic isn't based on evidence or research and yet you say there are countless studies...again see any of the research indexes and you will see chiropractic is proven as one of the most effective treatments for low back pain.

Scientifically there is nothing to Chiropractic procedures. Not one lagit medical study has ever been able to show that these procedures do anything. Please people, if you have a medical condition, see a real doctor, not one of these fraudsters. Thanks for posting this!

@solveroftruth We undertand chiropractic doctors complete the same curricula but 500 more hours than MD's.

That's not a contradiction. There have been studies and the studies do not support chiropractic.
