I'm confused. you talk about how you're poor and came from a poor family, but you live in an apartment above a restaurant with bars up and down your street. apartments in trendy business districts cost an arm and a leg- even with a roomate! then again, maybe you live in downtown peoria or something, where I could afford a mansion for what I pay for a 1 br in DC. :) -there's also the possibility that one person's idea of "poor" is another person's "just not filthy rich".
for where i was living, a dollar a square foot is cheap for an apartment. however, today, for instance, i am stuck trying to decide if i want to spend my check on the lights or to fix the tooth i cracked in half, and my mom has told me that if i don't get her back the thirty bucks she loaned me, she will bounce her phone payment. see? pooooooor. anything nice i have is only because i busted my ass for it. :)
Everytime I see the still from this video I think you look like you are sad. I know from watching it that you just got caught at a weird spot, but it's still interesting to see that tiny blip in time and what it says... when you're not, be happy.
You are definitely Vlogging Champion of 2005 - at least on YouTube. Apart from the openess and intimacy of your sharing I am impressed by the variety of your material - including singing, dancing and playing music. Love the way you use your eyes, mouth, dimples and voice, also the way you make the viewer feel like one of your closest friends.
it gets easier the more you do it. when i started, i used to just make them for myself only. i have about six months worth that i'll never publish, from when i started. don't think about doing it - just do it. sit there, however you are, don't worry about what you look like or what you're talking about... just sit there and start talking. your heart will find it's way out eventually.
