So thanks alto for answering a question I had on the shelf of my mind for almost 40 years,

The YOU TUBES are a GREAT thing

    Huzzah

  • love this song

  • Here the invasive coyote hybrids are eating the foxes, (along with pets and livestock) much more humane, and no jobs created by fox hunts or reason to keep horses around.

  • That guitar sounds like Knopfler. Nice!

  • simply brilliant!

I like this band more and more!

  • Foxhunting . . . the unspeakable pursuing the inedible - Oscar Wilde

Foxes have taken to living in towns in England and the townsfolk have started taking a dim view of louts on horseback tearing up their flowerbeds.

They're passing city regulations to stop them.

Looks like the foxes have figured out a way to end foxhunting.

  • lol, cunning little.... well fox.

  • @Pangael what if they use nets and dogss with feather teeth? what then

  • @Pangael

Sorry mate, but that's wrong. Fox hunting was banned in England in 2005 and it's precisely because Fox numbers have increased since then that they have started living in towns where food is more easily available.

Most people in the towns don't mind the foxes though as they're quite shy animals. Although their calls can be a bit creepy.

  • Great song, fun to compare to American folksong 'The fox went out on a moonlit night...'

    Thanks very much.

  • Have you heard Roger Waters' "Radio Waves"? The rhythm in that song is identical to this one.

  • Pretty much so, although Waters had to add the damned disco-synth background.

He also added many more chords - a much more complex (and less satisfying) song.

  • One of steeleye span's best!

  • Thank you! May we have some more, please?

  • nice song

  • Great lyrics too!

  • What a fantastic song!
