I did mine in two sections (pig tails) like she did in the video...and my first one looked similar to a regular braid as well, but on the second section, i took less hair from the back, to split in two pieces, AND make sure to pull very tight when wrapping the two thinner pieces of hair around the one larger piece of hair>>>It almost seems to make a pouf/bubble when pulling tightly =) Hope this helps you. im no expert on it, just sharing what worked for me & my hair.

This is great, I sometimes get this effect when I don't divide my hair correctly, but you made it look even and stylish!

Just a little tip, if you trim your har once every 3 or 4 months you won't get dead/split ends quite so badly. But you REALLY need to trim off the ends of your hair. And use a conditioner to make your hair more silky and smooth.
