  • Hi Fredrik, thanks for posting your friendly coment and best wishes to nice Sweden;-)))

  • I liked very much your 109, I own one too, BUT it is just radio controlled scale replica 1/6 of the E-7.....greetings from Sweden.

  • Fahrwerks verkleidung fehlt! Aber sonst top!

  • @Lee78072

Man soll ja nie nie sagen;-)Google doch mal Bf 109 V7

  • @messerschmitt1936

    Huhu Harald, supi das Teil.

    Darf ich mal mit?

  • Hello Laszlo,

thanks for mailing. Compliments to your video about your full scale 109 Projekt.

Very good looking - let's stay in touch. I will send you my adress for your questions.

    Cheers

    Harald

  • Hello, i have just seen your video, a very nice job! we are currently building a full size replica 109 G and i would like to email you with a few questions.

    Many thanks in advance

    regards, Laszlo

  • This is by far and away the nicest scaled down Bf109 replica I've ever seen, despite being smaller than the prototype, the cowls look right and so does the top line of the canopy. I like the early models and the clean lines are reproduced here perfectly and seemingly practically, a real achievement given that the full sized aircraft was famed for it's small cockpit and awkward ground handling. Great soundtrack, some excellent flying and furthermore a beautiful aircraft, well done!

  • @pete2778

Hi Pete, thank you very much for your nice comment. Alex the Designer and builder of D-EJHA did a wonderful job. I always enjoy flying with this bird, it feels like travelling back in time...

    All the very best

    Harald

  • Well done.

  • @messerschmitt1936

You did a wonderful job. Congratulations. I enjoyed your video very much. Like being there.

  • Nice work...good video. I like the propeller...looks like it should. Some times replicas use standard prop's and they just don't look right.

I have great respect for you aircraft builders.

  • @Stukadriver

It is a self designed and out of carbon build prop by the builder. Challenge was to find out the right design for start and high speed at low noise. Prop has no variable pitch.

Everything is working like it should and it's a real fun to fly in it.

Your Stuka is a very nice one - I like your plane and your well done videos;-)))

GAY

  • cheers up, great plane and vide, congratulations

  • Chevy / Ford engines work well in replicas. Need to install AC rated carbs and oil systems as well as gear reduction system which there is a company that does, I just can,t remember there name. I,ll ask my bro, he,ll know. I grew up knowing Marcel Jurca who started the scale fighter movement in the 60s. He did the FW190 & the Mustang 3/4 & 1/2 using those engines. I hope someone does some multi-engine WWII fighter / bombers someday.

  • Welch schöner Anblick...

    Danke!!

    Die Landung war natürlich Eichhornmässig...

    Applaus!!

  • Video is blocked in good old Germany since some days. Maybe because of Music Track???

New Track with "you tube musik" will come soon;-)))

  • A very nice looking replica. Love the music on the video, perfect choice! That plane looks like a lot of fun to fly.

  • What is the powerplant used? I always wanted to build a full scale 109G but could never find the right engine at a reasonable price.

  • Engine is a 125 hp 4 cylinder watercooled automotive sportscar engine with gear reduction. Original in 1936 was a 650 hp 12 cylinder Jumo. Mercedes followed in the later models.

If you want to build your Bf 109 with a car engine, you have to reduce rpm from about 5500 rpm to 2300- 2500 propeller rpm with a gear or belt reduction. 1:1 scale needs much more power!

Look at a Spit in1:1 scale in GB,hp will be 350. You will find her here at you tube.

Believe in your dream and start building;-)))

  • Thanks very much. I may just have to start after I finish my FW-190.

  • @messerschmitt1936

which engine can sounds similliar to DB601? The Rotax 914 has quite squeeky sound, I should look into a car engines.

  • @JohnyE007

My engine is a 4 cylinder automotive sportscar engine. Upm is up to 6100 and Prop Upm is reduced by gear box reduction. Everything is selfdesigned by the builder. Sound is very very different from other aircraft with a cool deep sound. Effect of high rotating 4 Cylinders: you belive there is a big block engine working.

I will send you a video you can hear my replica flying;-)))

  • Thank you;-))) Landing gear is not as high than the original was. You have to concentrate during start and landing on every taildragger - always be a little bit faster than your airplane!

It's a unique aircraft, self constructed, build and first flown by a good friend. Sorry - no kit.

  • That's a shame. I was already trying to convince the wife I needed one.

  • Great looking aircraft. Undercarrage looks a bit safer than the original. Is it available as a kit?

  • Sehr schönes Video, Harald! Kompliment an den Kameramann. ;-)
