  • Saw her last night, she was outstanding :) xx

  • Back in '98 I went to the states to finish high school. I was 18 then and I met this girl and I still remember the first time I went to her house: As we were making out this song was playing, followed by blood roses (and then the album 40oz of freedom by sublime).

We broke up in 2004 and remained friends, she's married now. And I'm living in London, I just turned 32.

Sometimes I play this song and brings me back to that day, I thank her for all I had learned with her, specially for this song.

  • I am not a music aficionado by any means, regardless… most of my musical tastes differ in such contrast to this lady and yet I am drawn back time and time again. Somehow this is heavier than any metal I have ever heard, more delicate than any dirge, and the transitions more skillful than the best of house djs. A woman and her piano, who could hope to hold a candle?

  • She's amazing *.* She's feel power of music!<3

  • I got me samosas too. Right on!

  • I miss cross-eyed Tori

  • SUBLIME, Tori ti ascoltiamo con VERO PIACERE!

  • 6:03 this "ooh they..." is amazing.

  • she is not so drugged up./..my god that woman has been through so much and to be doing this show for RAINN....took courage to get out there....

  • she's sooo drugged up...

  • @kokoku82 have you ever seen Tori perform? yes, she is unusual, emotional, but drugged up? no...

  • @baberwaber yep, i've seen her perform several times in US; especially in the Scarlet era. and yes again, she is drugged up, everyone knows she was into drugs at the time. you can even see it for yourself, just watch the eyes. why is that a problem anyway ?

  • @kokoku82 don't think there are some drugs...I know exactly, by myself, what can music and poetry do with your mind...and I think I'm not alone, just look at the history of art... :)))

  • @efkagore true, but you might want to review the history of drugs too...) a LOT more people have been getting high (on MANY different substances) than most people are aware of, for a long LONG time, WAY into pre-history even...P they tend to leave that stuff out of the text-books tho...)

  • @skuzzbunny that doesn´t mean that Tori´s on drugs here...well, maybe she is, but music is the drug... ;)

  • I remember my sister surprised me with tickets to RAINN ~ many many years ago now!! This was the most memorable show. I have only seen tori perform 4 times - this was hands down my FAVORITE SHOW. When I went home Boys for Pele went into my CD player and has NEVER left ~~ xo

  • i cried

  • I saw her perform this at the Murah Theater in 1996 and it was just as awesome then as it is watching it now.

She is my favorite artist of all time.

  • But will you find me if Neil makes me a tree

    An afro, a pharaoh?

    Love this part

  • What does it means? I don't get that :( Do you?

  • The reference in the song when she says Neil, is a reference to Neil Gaiman, the writer of the Sandman Comics. Tori is a big fan of him, and commonly references him in a few songs. "Tear in your hand" is another example, where one line reads "Neil says hi by the way". She is yet again talking about Neil Gaiman.

  • thanks :)

  • @MadLadybug Neil actually did make her into a tree. Tori is a talking tree in Neil's book Stardust.

  • Was there 7th row!

  • so jealous...

  • OMG!!

    This is really nice!!

    She is the Queen..

  • Fuckin awesome! I'm in a spell.

  • I have a vhs tape of this whole concert and its amazing...she was really on that night!

  • Totally agree ... I also have that VHS tape. She (Tori) is unbelievable.

  • I have the VHS, too. I just wish they'd release it on DVD.

  • I love the Neil Gaiman/Sandman reference! :D

  • No, I definitely prefer 4:21. Gets me every time.

  • Don't you just love how she says "to ride on, yes, to ride on, yeeeees"?
