Well I'm just in high school ceramics but yea wow

  • AH! a 25 seconds look what do you see...... an amazing idea for an olden day CUP.

  • i love it!

  • use sum gucci mane as background music for a pot lol!!

  • using the middle finger to shape the bowl. lovely.

  • i wish i had one of those wheel thingys. i suck at pottery but i love it

  • i want to learn how to do this

  • Awwwww Dan, will you marry me? Your work is so lovely :)

  • That looks so amazing!! What kind of clay are you using by the way?

  • This is awesome!!! It looks a lot easier than it really is. I have tried many times at school and it always ends up uneven. You're amazing at it. Great Job!!!

  • Beautiful work dear sir, I'm more of a pencil and paper artist, but I enjoy now and then watching potters, beautiful job

  • So gorgeous, I am just blown away. =D One of my favs!

  • it amazing! im so gonna try this

    thank you!

  • I love watching your videos. And I'm definitely a fan of the very dramatic music playing. Very Nice:)

  • Do you remember how much clay you used? If so, how much?

    :O

  • what is that music. i love it!

  • @meenaakthar Answer given at the top

  • how would you trim that?

  • Excellent!

  • how do you get your bowls so perfect with out a coconut rib or bowl rib?

  • @EYCEthebest003 Just using my fingers.

    And some skill ?

    Cheers,Dan.

  • @youdanxxx Regards RTWdude

  • what kind of clay are you using???

  • Hi did you ever get a reply to your question re what type of clay...? I would be interested to know

  • All the clay is Grey Stoneware clay.

    Thanks,Dan

  • The choice of music for this video was fine until 1.03. After this the music is too harsh and dramatic that doesn't do justice to the delicacy of the pot being made.

I would recommend an Oboe concerto, 2nd movement from the Baroque period

  • this is really gorgeous

  • awesom

  • I tried this tonight and it came out really nice. How do you trim the bottom? Do you trim on the wheel and then wire off? I generally like to trim a foot when leather hard but I fear the "petals" will break off. I love your videos - they are awesome!

  • I have been using a foam padded bat to trim this type of bowl.

  • oh wow this is amazing

    ur really good

    beautiful

    i just love it

  • Can anyone tell me what piece of music is playing in this video? And the bowl is breathtaking!

  • Tchaikovsky.

    Dance of the Swans.

You can't beat a bit of Classical Music.

    Dan.

  • @youdanxxx Especially Tchaikovki. Amazing videos.

  • My four-petalled bowl came out of the bisque kiln today and one of the four petals accidentally got cracked but I have thought of a way to deal with that. I think I'll sandpaper it until I get a smooth u-curve and after glazing, tell people that's the groove for the serving spoon. My three-petalled bowl came out of the kiln just fine, however. Thanks again for your great videos.

  • Well your's is unique then.

As long as you like the result.

    That's all that matters.

    Cheers,Dan

  • Thanks, Dan. I am going through your videos very carefully to pick up whatever tips I can before sitting down at the wheel during every pottery class.

  • I tried this today and it really works out like you showed. My bowl was a lot smaller so I only managed to get 4 sides and it ended up square but the petal effect came out exactly as you showed. Thanks a lot.

  • Love it.

  • lol is that water your dipping your hands in? (of curse it is..) but im not sure

  • Absolutely beautiful.

  • Beautiful. I'm going to try that style as soon as I can. (:
