I bet he hasn't considered that standing up for education, healing, and world peace doesn't have to be divinely inspired. In fact a lot of his love and passion for those values came from his mother. His mother taught him, or if I could qoute him from another earlier video I watched "A good defense is a good offense."He took charge in his life based on those teachings. Not to mention the statement he made wasn't rooted in the science of peace, but rather the philosophy of peace.
What an inspiring statement by LeVar Burton. I see the path he has been on, starting with Alex Haley's TV miniseries "Roots" when he played a slave, and 25 years of hosting PBS's TV show "Reading Rainbow" to encourage reading. With the historic election as President of Barack Obama, LeVar is standing up as someone who values education, cultural healing, and world peace -- all because of his mission from a higher power.
