  • even though this is the 2nd movie, i feel that sometimes disney doesnt do as well as a job as the 1st. but i find that the lion king 1 and 2 were both brilliant!!!

  • Lovvvvveeee ittt night.....and the spirit of life♪♪♪

  • If there is something this movie taught me is that even though some things die/disappear from the earth.. they will not truly be gone. They will always live inside you..

  • So cute!^^ I wish they would have had Kopa in this. Maybe made the lion king 11/2 about him then Kiara LK2.

It would be pretty bad if he accidentally dropped her wouldn't it o.o

  • A beautiful movie, the Lion King

  • Haha, I can hear Rafiki's voice: "It is a girl."

  • i like how they honor someone that eats them...

  • I want this played at my funeral when I die.

  • :) in the first movie rafiki held up a boy (different color lion he had yellow and black eyes and light fur) now he holds up a girl (she's darker with simbas eyes)

  • Best song ever!!!

  • <3

  • When I was little I used to sit and listen to this song on repeat late into the night 3

  • The 10 dislikes are from Scar, Zira, Nuka, Shenzi, Banzai, Ed, and 4 crocodiles.

  • WTF 10 dislikes!?

  • omg why 10 dislikes lion king is a ledgend

  • @yardnok3103

thnx i thought i was going crazy

  • Just remember god lives in us, just as Mufasa lives in simba

  • i start crying when Mufasa shows in the clouds in heaven<33

  • I see Judaea as our relationship with god. He lives in us

  • Reminds me of our Almighty God :)) he truly lived in me. This song is so beautiful

  • it was so powerful when mufusa was looking down at his granddaughter :D

  • SIMBA FTW!

  • He lives in you

  • im a christian and this song, to me, represents Jesus. I kno most peeps dont lyk religon posts, but get over it. I love this song. I always get shivers when I hear it. This and We Are One.

  • @cardinalbird26 Yeah. This song can definitely represent our heavenly father.

  • @hydrotag amen to that. i love this song...... i sing it during math...

  • @cardinalbird26 agreed!! it is a very Jesus-y sounding song. I was thinking that myself. (:

  • @mileyz1fan625 ikr!

  • you watch this and you think "wow disney have actually managed to make a good sequel!" and then you watch the rest of the film and realise disney have done what they do best, ruin their best films and tarnish their names

  • simba may be the lion king, but mufasa is the LION GOD!!!

  • @CaliforniaImissyou i agree. i love mufasa, simba is ok and cute, but mufasa will always be top lion in my disney heart.

  • are they saying 'heavan in the meadow ' or is it just me?

  • @thegeniiiy they are saying "hela hey mamela" which means "hey listen"

  • How can you dislike this video! This is classic Disney not the artificial new things <3

  • Love it! :D

  • If you want you can like this if you feel a spiritual connection when you listen to this song or even when you sing it. I always get chills when i sing this song. please reply if you get the same feeling. thanks

  • @conraad10 Dude, you have no idea how many times I get goosebumps listening and singing to this song. Just takes you on a spiritual trip. Why can't Disney make movies like this anymore? :(

  • @conraad10 spiritualist here and this song means a lot to me, even now as an adult. They live in you :) And He/She.

  • @conraad10 no worriess, i do too

  • @conraad10 I'm the same with this song and a lot of other disney songs...they just have that effect on some people <3

  • @conraad10 who wouldn't? :D

  • @conraad10 me 2

  • @conraad10 yeah

  • @conraad10 wtf? your right. i thought you were being dramatic.

  • beautiful song i like it a little better than the circle of life lol

  • this song would be sick in theaters

  • This song just took me waay far back to a time that I forgot existed. Back before the adolescent confusion and before the stress of the parents getting divorced when I was just a kid... I remember watching this movie every night on VHS to help me fall asleep because I was scared to sleep in my own room. I think the lion king movies instilled something in me that I just can't shake that I can still feel now all these years later.

  • @kofmystr AMEN. *bows down to comment*

  • @kofmystr "They Live in You"

  • @kofmystr My grandmother passed away 4 days after I posted my previous comment. I'm so glad your suffering is over Grandma Tee and I know that your spirit lives on in me. This song has a whole new meaning to me now.

  • @kofmystr right? its depressing to think about that time and how you wanted to grow up so fast and now that you have its like... all you want is to be that lil kid all over again so you can escape the hell that is "the real world" :/

however, i find listening to lion king songs puts me at least part way back into that time to give me a sense of that feeling, its like an addict trying to get that very first fix but never quite getting it :(

  • @kofmystr exactly how i feel.

  • @kofmystr Yo.. I did the SAME thing back in the day. This movie is burned into my memory, I think I watched this every night for an entire year straight. For the same reason as you did lol.

  • rubbish quality but don't really matter

  • while i personally dont like the lion king 2, the music is actually fantastic :D

im doing a lyrical dance to this and its just fabulous to dance too

    i wuv it :3

    <3

  • This songs gives me chills. The good kind :)

  • @Kierrafication maybe she has fertility problems?

  • @MrsSeanBean1 No lol

  • i love this song.

  • Actually in lion king 1/2, at the end timone and pumba talk about teaching the cub that simba and nala had, all the things they did with simba but than the monkey is like "It's a girl." and there like whatttt?!! it was a girl after all.

  • @RollinHighTonight Actually, the lion cub at the end of the first Lion King was supposed to be Simba's son because in the books Simba had a son named Kopa. I'm not sure what made Disney change their minds but Kiara was originally supposed to be Kopa.

  • this song just brought me back a rush of memories

  • ahh so sad 1:14 MUFASA IS AT HIS GRANDSONS THINGYMAJIG

  • Have you guys ever thought this: Mufasa is shown as a great big lion with pride and with a comfortable voice, he gives simba a great royal welcome another pride lion to take over his place, simba does a great welcome for Kiara, after that Kovu will give his next child a royal welcome too, but when u think of all the lions in this great bloodline, Mufasa's father must've given Mufasa the best and mightiest welcome of all in the family, this shows how good Mufasa

  • 10 ppl were brought up to hate this movie.

  • @Ebonydoe That's true. And if you notice by the end of Lion King 2 it was just as packed out as the beginning of the first movie. Simba's a beast :)

  • Anyone else think Africa's gone to pot a bit since the first movie. I don't know what it is, maybe the music or the fact that most of Lion King 2 is almost always at dusk or something and isn't as brightly coloured as the first movie, but it just doesn't seem as full of life as the first movie, anyone else agree? Don't get me wrong, I love the movie nevertheless

  • Just to clarify:

    'Mamela' means Listen

'Ingonyama nengw' enamabala' means Here is a lion and a tiger

'Ubukhosi bo khokho' means Throne of the ancestors]

'We ndodana ye sizwe sonke' means Oh, son of the nation

I frikkin love this film <3

  • I love the way how they picked up the main motto of the first movie, not Hakuna Matata, but «he lives in you», it was how Simba truly discovered that Mufasa wasn't dead, because he lived in Simba and through Simba. And it was with that thought in his mind that Simba was able to defeat Scar and proclaim his place on top of Pride Rock. He is strong to rule the kingdom and lead his people because he (Mufasa) live in you (Simba)!

  • Where's the third? They need a third what happened to Kiara and Kovu? Didn't THEY have CUBS?

  • @Prisquared Oh hell yes Simba's Pride was just as epic as the first! :)

  • i love the lion king movies. :)

  • @JakobLindner...Good question. Ask Mufasa lol

  • Kopa was brought up in the book, he was a golden colored cub with a tuff of hair on his head. Kiara is the cub from the 1st movie, the original spawn of simba.

  • Kiara is so Cute!

  • 2:17 Die Leafs!

  • @mikayla690 YOU ARE ONE DUMBASS IDIOT, KIARA ONLY PLAYING WITH MUFASA

  • Simba: Hello Father

    Nala:Hello Mufasa

    Kiara:DIE FEATHERS DIE!!!

  • Oh...... I love this song, is so cute!

  • This movie is one of the sequel's that I found Disney didn't screw up.

  • The beginning of this song gives me chills. I think this and "We Are One" are the only times that recapture some of the magic of "The Lion King."

  • I don't know why but I started crying when I seen Mufasa in the clouds. I wish I could see my grandmother watching my daughter being born, even though I know she was there...

    Love you Nana

  • Remember Disney as it was, not what it has become.

  • @darkelf919 TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU!!!! WHAT THE HELL'S WRONG WITH HOLLYWOOD, MOVIES LIKE THE LION KING ARE WHAT LAID THE FOUNDATION OUT FOR DISNEY.

  • @Champ675 Completely agreed.

  • @darkelf919

When walt disney was alive it was good like this.

  • @darkelf919 Theres nothing wrong with Disney now, its just moved with the times, thats it all :)

  • 10 people are decendants of Scar

  • i love this song so much more than circle of life. i feel like it's a better beginning

  • The funny thing is.TLK2 came literally out of the blue. No prelude. It just happened....a few years after TLK1 was released. If you're gonna do that, you gotta make a prelude or something. Many questions have yet to be answered. Ex: If Zira and Scar were lovers than why isn't Scar Kovu's father? Who is Kovu's father? If Scar and Kovu aren't related, why does Kovu resemble Scar more than Zira? And many more....

And apparently, Kiara is a boy at the end of TLK1. Think of that sh*t!!

  • @kmasucci Kovu was found by Scar and Zira. They don't say who Kovu's father is because, again, he was found. He resembles Scar just to work it into the plot. And when do they mention Kiara being male in the first one?

  • @MrSamusdark In the commentary, the child at the end of Lion King is confirmed as being a male, so that means that he is actually Kopa, and that Kiari is the second child because Kopa died, apparently.

  • @Jamestopboy Yeah, I realized it soon after. I apologize for not knowing. >.<

  • @MrSamusdark That's alright; you'd be surprised how many people don't know about Kopa.

  • @Jamestopboy I've known about Kopa. I just didn't think Kiara was supposed to be a male at first. All these years, and I just learn about this.

  • @Jamestopboy I've actually heard that the cub at the end never had a confirmed gender, was called Fluffy and 'it', and that the original creators of Lion King never accepted Kopa's stories as canon.

  • @Cattwo28 The commentary on the "special edition" referred to the cub as "He", thus confirming Kopa's existence.

  • @Jamestopboy -shrugs- I haven't heard the commentary, but I've googled a lot of this granted google can be unreliable.

  • Maybe no one else noticed...but when mufasa had simba presented...it was wayyyyy more packed out lol. Like every animal in freakin africa was there lol. I guess that's what happens when you're pretty much the Lion version of God.

  • @MrJoshuaPatton. So if Mufasa is the lion version of god... does that mean they're in year 1 or 2? :o

  • @MrJoshuaPatton if only mufasa was still there, there would have been as much animals there

  • @MrJoshuaPatton

Gotta think of it too though, the herds were nearly wiped out under Taka's rule so there may not have been as many still around by the time Kiara was presented

  • @MrJoshuaPatton yeah, but remember, when mufassa presented simba, the reason why the animals bowed was because of pumba's gas, so for simba to present someone, and have the animals bow without pumba, thats is pretty impressive xD

  • @MrSuperTeenGohan why r u talkin but mufasa when hes dead?

  • @MrJoshuaPatton because he is a king...

  • Rafiki : It is a girl.

Timon and Pumbaa : Girl???? wtf!!!!!

  • @babyman142 You go girl/guy!!!!!

  • Anyone else realise that this song was probably written about Jesus, not Mufasa? There seems to be a recurring theme of linking lions to Jesus. Case in point, Aslan.

  • the second lion king was just as good as the first! who agrees?

  • @Prisquared agreed

  • @Prisquared well... for a straight to video sequal it was very good, so in a way, i agree with you ;)

  • @Prisquared just the songs! simba became so overprotecting

  • @Prisquared maybe not as good but the songs were definitely just as good! Especially considering the quality of disney sequels, it was a really good movie.

  • @Prisquared

    It's good yes.

But it leaves so many plot holes. for example:

What happened to Kopa? (the lion cub at the end of LK1)

What did Zira do that was so bad?

How the hell did they get so fat?

  • @inuyoh5taileddemon In Lion king fan world we all basic agreed that Zira kills Kopa in revege to Simba killing scar .So she is exiled by simba because of it.

  • Finishing last comment. Let's try to get Disney to make movies like these again.

  • I wish that Disney would make movies like this again. Im sure it would make the world a better place and cause less drama in children's lives. All the songs have good meaning. They make me happy. I don't like learning how to take care of a bay with good luck Charlie or learning about wands with wizards of waverly place. I miss all the drama free movies that we used to have more of. Now all the Disney movies are gone in a vault. We need Disney to create these movies again. Lets try to get Disney

  • Aladdin took place in the Mulan scene

Hercules defeated Scar from Lion King

Ariel in the background of A Goofy Movie when he says "We're busteeeddd"

Now Ms. Pot from Beauty and the Beast in Tarzan

    Haha (:

  • my dad died yesterday.... :`(

  • @enriquevrquiroga im so sorry

  • @enriquevrquiroga I'm so sorry! *hug*

  • @enriquevrquiroga I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I send my regards.

  • @enriquevrquiroga I`m sorry for you :( Be strong :)

  • goosebumps...my spine is tingling... such a beautiful song..

  • enough of this i remember i remember crap. i mean its everywhere! yes we get it you love disney and you're still watching it now as a teenager or even older! we all love it

  • she is so cute

  • i love this song!!!!!! when i was little lion king was my favorite disney movie!

  • I love this film I LOVE THE LION KING AND I AM 14 AND ITS THE BEST EVER! I need to get the dvds again I threw my videos away WHY DID I DO THAT. This song gives me Goosebumps, I love Lion king!!!

  • @B33NH4RDCOR3 I watch those Disney shows just to watch something. I don't think it's very civilised to discourage something someone believes in. It may not be working yet, but with a little effort it could.

  • OMG OKAPIS!!!

  • Eyes of Nala white

  • 10 people are deaf

  • Simba and his purple eyeshadow :P

  • @FriedrichtheFag You are so right! Inever noticed that!

  • i like this version of the song better then the broadway one, y did they put this song on the broadway?

  • @ingrid98R I thought it was all right?

  • even though nala is animated, she's a beautiful lioness

  • When did Pocahontas's winds get to Africa?

  • beautiful...reminds me of my father :/ see you soon pop

  • 2:14 is so cute!

  • How do they know to gather?

  • man this means something listen to the words and tell me what u think

  • I love that this was included in the broadway musical. :)

  • @babyman142 this is so brillianttttttttttt, i completely agree

  • @babyman142 first of all it's spelled Ariel...

  • @babyman142 you seem to have a very slect memory of disney movies.,. most of them modern

  • @Jakezing At least all the ones mentioned are of the golden age, though I would add Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty to the list. Why? Because the villains are fucking awesome.

  • @Tahkaullus01 two of which sucked, you have a lack of notre dam. you sir do you not remember ANYTHING!!! =3

  • @babyman142 Simba and Scar* show some respect to the lion king :D

  • Did anyone else cry?

  • @xazadix88 everytime...

  • 1:58- totally looks like Our Lady of Guadalupe

  • @hokiegirl365 swahili is the language they use in all the movies and a bit in the songs too. For example, simba is a swahili word and it means lion. Nala means gift. Sarabi(simba's mother) means mirage. Kiara means small dark thing for some reason. rafiki means freind. timon means respect. pumba means dull-witted and stunned. kovu means scar (i know, ironic right?) and kira means hate. I Got This All Off Of A Lion King Wikepdia I found.

  • it 0:44 what is he doin?

  • Rafiki is just relaxing. As the old wise ape that he is!

  • baby kierea is Fat, i mean REALLY chubby.... just sayin...

  • @beebee56100 She's also a baby. Most babies of any kind are chubby. It's called baby fat, ever heard of it?

  • i can't help but get chills when i hear this song
