I do know about vocals, and people like the old killswitch engage singer can mess up their voice by screaming, but done with the right technique (it takes ages to get it right, about a year of practising supposedly) you can scream without damaging your voice at all. If it hurts while you do it, then your damaging it. People like Spencer Chamberlain (underoath) can do it perfectly, and sonny moore is still singing as brilliantly as he ever could.
