hmm i disagree. i dont believe that when one feels jealousy towards someone, that means they aren't living up to their full potential. achieving ones potential just seems like continuosly adding makeup to get the desired affect. adding shit, i don't believe, really solves anything. its removing the need to "be kinder in a relationship because hes looking at some other girl". maybe the key is allowing. allowing things to be the way they are. not reaching for some potential. less is more, maybe?
I love how you look at things.....to find the Opportunity for growth within ourself....no matter what is going on in our lives & to take responsibility for ourself in order to grow, learn & expand our awareness......it really gives a renewed meaning to the saying: There is a reason for everything that happens. I'm not sure I follow but ultimately if you feel jealous then it is your responsibility to get to the root of whatever insecurity that triggered it. If I am jealous because I think someone has better genetics than me it is my problem, and it probably stems from not honoring my own genetics...

The way I see things now? There is a cost to having something that you think you must have or want (via marketing, stereotype, power, rank or hype). It is the Responsibility to own it and the returns or debt you get from it.
The questions I ask myself is.. "Is it really worth the hype, fuss, cost of freedom or sacrifice?"

What about people who get hurt by jelousy from others? I have heard realy sad stories, especially from women. How should they cope with it.
I think Jealousy can be a catalyst to spring us into action at times, it's purpose ultimate purpose is to bring our attention to a more centered reality. However, if the goal is shallow and coming from ego it will eventually lead to dissatisfaction. Only action based from your heart will bring you joy. For example your motivation probably should not be to overpower someone or keeping up with the jones'.
Jealousy is painful for both people involved. Women and jealousy is really tough because most women associate their self worth with their appearance. I feel If jealousy is creeping in it is a red flag that some inward attention is needed. It's a clue to figure out where we are not living up to our standards.
For the "victims" of jealousy let it go, and don't for one second think that it actually has anything to do with them.
