  • Just like I said, the present government is really trying, but the system is so inherently corrupt that it will be improbable to even alleviate corruption down to a small scale. I can't blame the Lebanese, Chinese and other expatriates for anything; the Liberian policymakers must always be blamed for everything.

  • haha!!..keep doin yo thang brah!...L.I.B REPS!!..

  • Real talk, man. The politicians need to wake up and do what they were elected/appointed for. Almost everything in Liberia is Lebanese - that has to stop!

  • @LabeerehnGbanna true talk ..was in LIB for my summer holiday last year summer and everything is Lebanese there , i mean Lebanese people has taken over the place .. i was suprise and it was my first time visiting the country . i was lik mom what they doin here really? n she was lik they been here for ages so now they see LIB as their own country. they even speak "lib english" i mean they have the accent. thats crazy

  • @LabeerehnGbanna How true this is.

  • @lmedina4731 Most of the policymakers are so corrupt that they take bribes from foreigner businessmen to give them competitive advantage over local businesspeople. At one point in time, rice was imported to Liberia by only one person - a Lebanese. And rice is the staple food of Liberia. That also raises the question: why don't they grow enough rice at home instead of importing? The answer is simple: they don't have much to gain from it. However, the present government has improved things a bit.

  • @LabeerehnGbanna I am Puerto Rican but I lived in Liberia for two years, and in those two I saw a bit of progress; however, there is still corruption at all levels (from top to bottom) and in reference to the Lebanese, they are making a killing in Liberia.
