  • what song plz? :o

  • great headspins!!! Wts the song?

  • keep your legs straight

  • Weak Headspin!

  • more enegy :D

  • i think its looks pretty koo when u use ur right hand looks good :]

  • cool

  • nice 1..... i always fall when i let go my hand when i want to try spinning.. =(.. need help

  • SSSSSSLLLLLLLOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!

  • i know this is an old video, but in my opinion [you dont have to listen to me if you dont want] , it looked like you were depending a little bit too much on the helmet and not your head, from the looks of THIS video, it seemed like you were using more "forehead" rather than the actual top of your head. this is just my input, im pretty sure youve learned alot by now =]

  • hey dude let me give u a tip...on headspin ur legs here are almost straight...u have to kick with force and keep them down....and gd u have to start ike spinning with both hands slowly slowly

  • same as mine headspins

  • i think your right leg is lagging a little bit and not being used as much as it should while kicking

  • Hey! Yah I noticed that my one leg is really slowing me down because it's staying "behind", lagging as you said! I gotta work on that now!

You recommend I should try kicking more with it? I'll try that out next! Thanks a lot for the tip!!

  • have you tried like flexing both your legs to keep em straight that way you kinda build momentum without losing your form, iono this is a pretty late comment though.

  • @vladtepesdrac hey can you give me some tips on how to headspin please and thank you!!!

  • im 11 and i learnt my head spin in two days without a helmet. i do it on a gym floor and it doesnt rut my head lol but good job ;)

  • props to you then! gotta remember everyone is different, and of course it's easier to adapt the younger you are...

my skull just can't take that kind of a beating at my age :p haha!

so post some videos on your headspins, i'd love to see them!

  • sure! I will post one soon :)

  • Is it wiser to start out with a helmet to get used to the feeling of a headspin?

  • you have to see what is comfortable for you, and which is better in the long run. But I'll go over some things pertaining to my experience:

    1) headspinning without a helmet REALLY hurt my skull, and I would get bruised and it would hurt so much I couldn't even headstand the next few days, so that's why I started using a helmet

    2) helmet is sometimes easier to get spinning, unless you buy a special headspin beanie

    (continued)

  • (continued)

    3) how much time will you be spending practicing headspins? Me i usually headspin for 2-3 hours on end : if i did that without a helmet, my skull would be dead, and i would have no hair haha!

so keep those factors in mind! once you can headspin on a helmet, it's easy to transition to a beanie or w/e, just have to tolerate the pain

  • Yeah, i've noticed that my head would hurt a little after being in a headstand. So I'll use a helmet first, thanks for the advice dude!

  • how do you keep your body straight like that. My back wobbles alot, so the balance is way off for me.

  • I have lots of different exercises I practice before actually starting to headspin...mainly for building up more core strength and being able to keep everything tight /. not wobbly!

I might post a tutorial up for headspins sometime...I think I have lots of good tips to share with people.

  • how very nice for one day, heck ive been working on this for 3 days and i get maybe 3 rotations your speed if i get LUCKY. xD 5/5

  • thats a pretty sweet drill actually

  • Thanks! I discovered a good tip for doing drills (works for almost any move actually, 1990's, general headspins, etc):

basically what is important is that your upper body spins ahead of your hips/legs (cause they will naturally follow), so what you do is when you're going for a drill, try to look in the direction you are spinning, so basically turn your head in that direction as if you're trying to look over your shoulder that way! just a tip for pplz, REALLY helps me

  • very good

  • lol wow man jus give him his respect.haha the rest was unecessary

  • haha ya i know, some people on youtube just have too much hate and judgement >_>!

    you a bboy yourself?

  • yeh i am.i wish i could post up some vidz i will soon. jus keep up the work my brother..

  • perfect them? are you fucking kidding me? basic power?, this is power. you can't really MASTER everything, it's all about style. get the fuck outta here whyd you say that?

  • Much respect for the comment man, I really didn't pay too much attention to him though! Lots of people like that, just gotta ignore it! :P

I don't know who ACTUALLY expects me to put up some of my style footage on a "headspin progress video"... lol... geez some people are hard to please! ^_^ lol

  • dam josh you like commenting bboys huh xD

  • hey nice those are helpful slowdowns! i'm workin on this as well! Great Vids bro...SUBED

  • not bad....:) i am workin on egg headspins...and it is much easier if you learn to tap with your legs in a straddle instead of straight above you (imagine the body position of sitting with legs in a V in front of you, instead of laying down with legs in a V)(this is what you are doing while tapping) i am having to back track and learn this hip control now...it would have been easier had i learned it in straddle position from the beginning :) good work :)

  • Hey, thanks a lot for the tips. I'll start learning that way too now. It's good advice, I never thought of doing that, but I see it will teach good hip control ! :) thanks man

  • goodddd

    haha

  • woooaw, almost pro xL

  • Like punched toast said: kickass blance dude!!! xD

But once you get the hang of it, do you learn to take the helmet off, or do you keep it on, 'cause I've seen my cousin do some headspins when he was learning to breakdance, but he never used any helmets...so just wondering...great job though

  • I first started learning without a helmet actually, but I ended up bruising my skull a bit. My head is very pointy so everytime I spun on my head, it was on one tiny point, which made it hurt A LOT! It got to the point where I couldn't even do a headstand, it hurt way tooo much! So I'm sticking with the helmet for now. Either way, if you can do it with helmet, you can do it without too, cause once you have the balance down it doesnt matter! :) Just have to handle the pain, like in my case :P

  • Oh, awesome!

Not the pain, the whole headspinning bit. xP

  • Kickass balance, man.

  • could you tell me step by step how you're learning headspins. this would be very good insight for me to get better~

  • Lol nice work!!! 5/5. I like your way of training??? :)

  • you know, thats really good progress for the video u posted a month ago..i thought it took years to get headspins down!

i have a feeling we got another bboy who can headspin like bboy laser. lol, but then again. laser strained his neck and was out of it for awhile... but nice work :)

  • NICE!!!

  • ^_^ Thanks!

  • ooo, that's sweet man

  • Thanks! :D I've been training them hard!

  • ooo I like, I need help with my spins too I dont kick but I use my hand to move but no one would notice haha.

  • Yah, first off start using your hands to move you around! Don't kick right away or else you lose all control and balance.
