Nice unboxing. I had heard about this iPad thing just recently and I wanted to see if the rumors were true that it can videochat, use Flash, and store files. This video demonstrates all of these basic features thanks :).

@cx0r It can do none of these things you wish. And your comment is simple sarcasm. It did replace my netbook though. I use it for taking notes in class, read the news, and magazines. Surfing the net, and watching netflix. It's a good for replacing a portable netbook, and i put dropbox on there so I would have access to my desktop files.

@praetorin Oh, you must take notes using the keyboard. I bought a desktop recently and i had to buy the keyboard separate, good thing the ipad comes with a keyboard just like netbook competitors.

@cx0r I don't think your getting it, you stated everything the iPad doesn't have in your first comment on here. I never demoed flash, or videochat. You can store files, IE pictures and pdf's and docs. But it is not a GUI IE windows xp/linux/leopard environment. DO NOT buy the ipad if you are expecting it to do what a desktop or full laptop can do. The iPad is a portable information device with gaming functionality, you can also make some nice things in Keynote and Pages.

It is like a laptop but smaller, similar to netbook but cost a little more so of course it can do all the things that a netbook can do like have a GUI to display information and play games. I saw a keynote vidoe that says it is "revolutionary" and that is why it does all of a netbook features but in a tablet form.

Why would you post a video of this in 2010? If you didn't notice apple came out with the iPhone 3G a long time ago, which is the next version of the iPad. It's smaller and can do more things, it even runs on the same OS so you know one came after the other. Why don't you post an unboxing of something new like the iPhone 3G or 3GS? I guess you're just getting into the whole touchscreen scene

Congratulations on a device more expensive, bigger, and does less than a netbook.

@lmandozal It replaced my netbook. I use it for taking notes, surfing the web, checking my email, and listening to music. Just like I would use a netbook for.

Just because you don't see any purpose for this device doesn't change the fact that hundreds of thousands of people are happy with it.

@praetorin If they are crazy maybe. But why replace your Netbook? The netbook is smaller and has a much wider compatability than the iPad.

@lmandozal Because, my netbook wasn't smaller, it was still a 10inch netbook. And I have to start it up and shut it off like a netbook. And the iPad is always ready to go. And not only that, it makes it easy for me to read my newspapers and magazines and books. Without having to carry all that stuff with me. Heck i don't even have to carry a laptop case. Do you have an iPad? Because unless your using one day to day, you won't realize the benefits. Give the iPad a chance brother! =P

@man0204 web pages aren't in flash. It hasn't hindered my viewing experience. Some websites use flash plugins. I guess i just don't use many of those sites.

@man0204 Well this isn't a replacement for a powerful computer. I will still have my Dell XPS desktop for gaming and such. But this replaces my netbook perfectly. I wouldn't want an alienware laptop, you might as well just buy a desktop. Alienware laptops are heavy, big, and overpriced. BUT they are quite powerful. And it's all up to the user anyways, so whatever makes you happy. =)

I never had a problem with them :) not when i am working or playing... there laptops and desktop are amaizing XD.. but i just one to buy an i pad for my dad.. because all he does with the laptop is listen to music maybe watch a movie when his bored... and read his e mails and work :) so the ipad is perfect for him.10x and hopping for more vids from you XD cheerz

Wait a minute - the very first thing it does is sync with iTunes?

So does that mean you can't use it at all, without also owning a computer with iTunes installed?

Thus, it's not really a stand-alone product at all? But rather a portable satellite for the desktop?

Seems a bit out-of-order from Apple that in all the mountains of hype, that little fact wasn't mentioned anywhere.

Making iTunes a requirement for using a product stinks a lot like Microsoft's "bundling" tricks with IE.

@KlaxonCow I'm not sure if there was a way around that or not, I might have done something wrong, or maybe i could of gotten around it. But ultimately this device once started can download it's own content seperate from the computer. I really enjoy how I can have it save my passwords to sites i access. LIke Ebay and Amazon, or anything. And it gives you the option to save those to the bookmarks or make them an Icon on the homescreen. I'll be putting out another video demonstrating more.
