@Gunnarr123abc It's the whole screen of Middleearth implied in the well known Medieval 2 Total War Kingdoms. The mod is just awesome and complete, check out version 3.0 which has new features like Minas Tirith or Osgiliath 1:1 designed as battlegrounds.

EA doesn't have the LOTR rights anymore.

Therefor BFME3 is not going to happen.

To my great sadness. BFME2 was my "first and only love" when it came to vid games. I was addicted to that game, on the internet I fought so many battles also with friends. I liked every part of it.

That was 2/3 years ago tough but still this game was part of my childhood hahaaa :P

Sorry but this song should be more called Dwarven March instead of The Dwarves explore, because all of the song except from 1:26 to 1:55 (which sounds like Dwarven Funeral music) Sounds like the dwarves marching while beating drums.

Considering that dwarves in Middle-Earth rarely venture outside their holdings and that there's little point to marching inside your own keep, means that any marching that they are doing, is outside their kingdoms and can automatically be called exploring for them. XD

I don't feel like 1:26 - 1:55 is funeral music either. It's more like a great army resting in between battles, only to march stubbornly onto more combat.

The reason EA lost its license for LoTR is simply because they constantly released sub-par games that ignored everything involving Tolkien's lore - which inevitably made their products generic fantasy worlds.

I do admit BFME was okay, but it still covered the lore in gas, lit it on fire and beat it with a large piece of metal.

Actually it was because the rights were supposed to expire in the end of 2008, but Pandemic let it go on for a little more so they could finish their Lord of the Rings conquest game.

It has nothing to do with irrelevant content in their LotR games - they could add everything to the game they wanted, eg. putting an EA logo on the palantir, adding six-legged tortoises with crab claws or a Paraglider with an intel logo (easter egg in Far Cry 2 editor).

Reply to BillHABS: This doesn't surprise me that EA lost the license. They never kept up with this game. The expansion only had 1 patch. BFME2 is my favorite strategy game. There are new games coming out though. One I know of is called White Council. I wish there were more people playing BFME2 still, great game!

On February 2, 2007, however, it was announced that the game had been delayed indefinitely. This was said to be due to management problems. EA worked with Pandemic Studios to create The Lord of the Rings: Conquest instead.

Yea I got the Sirmallion (or maybe I read it from somewhere else) it says that two wizards went to the east. One of them is a Blue Wizard (Forgot his name) another is a Brown Wizard that uses animals.

I think EA used this idea for BFME2.
