  • nearly identical but federers looks more solid for some reason.....his trophy pose looks better i guess....

  • Well if he's going to post a video of him being exactly like a pro player he needs to wait until the video shows it going in

  • he is a pro player :)

  • The only difference is that Federer actually got his in

  • Oh and one more thing. Roger is MUCH taller than me. I'm only 5ft 7. Makes a big difference. Haha

  • Hello everyone I am the guy serving in the video. I appreciate the comments and suggestions on my serve. I can never be a Roger federer but I do strive to have similar form because he does everything textbook perfect and that has something to do with all his grand slams. Btw these are different camera angles but I feel the suggestions on here are still relevant. Thanks again!

  • your arm goes back a little more u should keep ur arm from swinging that much down but its still a nice serve

  • Bend your elbow more, keep your front arm up, and booyah!

  • Damn dude nice serve

  • Federer was serving with his eyes closed

  • It looks like a perfect replica! Well done!

  • Nice job trying to copy but your wrist is too straight on the wind up and you elbow is too high on the back drop and so you got no power on your serve. You got as much power as my sister. Get a new coach.

  • One very late comment, but your ball toss is incorrect: toss it more along the baseline. You miss that extra shoulder turn Federer and all great serves have because of this slight flaw.

  • fed practicing at indian wells, your practicing at a shithole. but great form. lol

  • did you copy his serve or is it your natrual service motion

  • his isnt a pussy ass fag shot

  • hes more jacked than you and better looking

  • nice! it looks the same!

  • it compares although i think Federer's is 30 miles faster XD

  • @23viktor23 300*

  • gog, very good. DO not beleive to all the "coaches" on the net mostly are people who can serve non as good as this one

    keep going

  • Your stance is different than his (notice the separation of his feet compared to yours), he coils his left foot out more than you do as he leans forward, he has more of a rocking motion, his right foot comes off the ground as he leans forward, your racquet face is too far open, he brings the racquet upright above his shoulder faster than you do, his shoulders are angled more steeply than yours at peak toss (see 0:11 for racquet diff.) I think 0:11 pretty much shows the extent of the differences.

  • YOU HAVE TOO MUCH TIME ON YOUR HANDS!!

  • Very similar form and fluency, good toss. Looks like Roger has a bit more knee bend and coils his body more. You seem a tad bit stiffer. He jumps a bit higher. I think you have a solid serve; you're comparing yourself to a guy who's probably a genetic freak.

  • nice man. solid motion! It looks almost identical to Feds.

  • Great!

  • you need to change your shirt

  • Not bad at all....... You could have used the same camera angle too ...........

  • you're racket face is too open..

  • his ball was in

  • @Radman180 Rofl

  • @Radman180 so was the kids..

  • @Radman180 it was a let

  • @zmanlane if it was a let, it would have had to touch the net... bottom line... it didnt

  • It is very similar! Look no criticism because there are everywhere, people who criticize you are the ones who are jealous

  • Hey, it's pretty similar work on more knee bend, push up into the serve, and a ton more wrist snap.

  • Hey, it's a similar motion. But work on more knee bend, push up into the serve and a ton more wrist snap.

  • damn i was surprised at the similarity!!! i wanna see your ball in action....!

  • You don't turn your shoulders like he does. His back is almost facing the court when he tosses. Your serve also looks a bit tight and forced, while Federer's is oh so fluid.

  • @DunklinDonuts

That's why Federer hits 120-130mph and him maybe 90-100mph.

  • nice

  • fed rotates his shoulder as he is hitting the ball and u just come straight across it

  • Comment removed

  • feds god more lag in his take back. its more relax. your are is too stiff

  • black socks,white shoes?! wtf?

  • ... good serve man! very relaxed... good pronation. Maybe try bending your knees a tad bit more so you kick up and generate more energy like Fed does!

  • Great serve dude.

  • his ball is in

  • the difference is his feet. They are both facing the court(i dont know why but it helps alot). his back arch helps his get up or the serve and accelorate faster. also his arm is a lot loser which gives him a whip motion.

  • i think his is faster

  • yal really need to stop making a big deal...in my opinion, i think u guys are jealous cuz hes actually close

  • wow the difference is that your serve sucks

  • why would u ever want to serve like fed?

  • The first difference is that your ball is out ... then uhm there are a lot of difference actually ! ... good luck, keep trying hard :)

  • @ErikCordovaCarvajal was in actually...and to all those who say this sucks...try tennis

  • @ErikCordovaCarvaja The ball isn't even touching the lines. It's in by a long shot.

  • You'd look nearly identical if you used your legs and body rotation to produce pace rather than your arm. Look at the videos, that's the only difference. You're arming it with a stiffer arm than Fed. He's totally relaxed.

  • his feet are apart, yours seem to be in line. good or bad? who knows lol

  • You should compare with Djokovic,he is much better then Federer.

  • aj ajjajajajaja how dare u compare to roger man ajjajajajajja you are a complete looser ¡¡¡ only for this you are a complete DESCONOCIDO MUERTO DE HAMBRE

  • how dare u compare to roger man

  • There are alot of differences, and you suck

  • The Diffence here. Is Your Flat Serving it, While he's Twist Serving it Notice that Slight Angle Slash on his Racket? What You're Doing Wrong is Not Angle Slashing the Ball To Roll it, that Slight Angle Roll Causes the Ball to Hit and Bounce in the Opposite Direction Its also Known as a Kick Serve. That Slight Slash that your missing is also causing your Ball to go Straight.

  • Yeah, but federers went in

  • He bounces the ball one more time ;)

  • @sersilfer9 stfu not the point stop being a fuckin hater

  • U are nice tennis player as well as Federer!

  • 0:13 U're not recovering quickly. Need to bring racquet forward & up w-2 hands on racquet with split step to be able to react to the return.

    Best Regards

  • Nice serving. :)

  • Visually they are similar, but what prevents them from being identical is where the major differences are. You are not utilizing your entire lower body and core as Federer does, which is most likely due to the fact that your trophy position is nowhere near as upright as Fed's is (note how his tossing arm stays pointed to the sky and you're pointing almost to the fence).

  • Good comparison. All the best.

  • you just need to toss the ball with the arm parallel to the base line and your good to go

  • at 0:12, look at the shoulder.

  • hmmmmm idk something's missing.... federer just seems to have a grace that nobody can copy, nice try though

  • nice try but something looks different

  • Make contact at the same time, but federer cocks his wrist much earlier and cuz way more power out of it

  • Well, nice job synching the videos, but sorry, your serve and Federer's are worlds apart.

    1. Your racquet is way out from your body at the start of swing. See 10 sec mark. Federer's swing is much tighter at start and leading up to strike.

    2. BY FAR the most noticeable difference is your lack of "coil". You have have a consistent swing speed though out. Notice the coiling motion when the racquet is behind Federer's ear and then the acceleration to ball strike.

    That's just for starters.

  • holy shit.. you guys were both using the same rackets and almost the same motion i couldn't tell who was federer @ first! nice job... i tried to copy federer, but i can't move my feet around 1 second before ball contact

  • nice serve

  • don't listen to your enemies kid, repo man always intense.

  • yeah man like i told u b4 u gotta be able to put ur body into ur hits. thats where alot of power can come from

  • Yes I am fully aware. But look at Federer's serve.

  • its identical but u just need to focus on getting more of ur body into ur whole gam too

  • Identical? NOT i cant explain the differences but they are there.

  • very similar, but feds was probably an ace

  • You're a good actor, he's a great tennis player and that's the main diffirence for sure))

I don't try to hurt you but that's what I see from the vid.

    Good luck, be yourself)

  • im not trying to be him. That is literally the way i learned to serve.

  • well, ok

...though it looks like you're trying))

  • there is nothing wrong with my serve resembling one of the greatest players in history.

  • You both have the simple traditional service motion...it's a natural flow. Then you have to learn the variations with that motion. As you grow you'll be able to put more weight into that ball!

  • @toneclub if you learn from Roger then u r learning from the best . and thts not a shame ;)

  • @NewLeaX1 its called style. the adaptation of style is very common and i've seen alot of people do it. people might have seen a certain style and use their love of a certain move style to motivate their actions. i did the same thing when i used to skate.
