    yep.. seo, inyoung..made this.. ^^

  • the other day i went to a korean restaurant to eat, and ordered some pork mandu as well, except they added mashed tofu into the filling, and also added glass noodles. i was wondering whether using the glass noodles was normal, or were they trying to cheat by using the noodles to make the dumplings look bigger. just curious. xD

  • hi theMilkz,

Yes.. using the glass noodles is normal. haha.. your thinking was cute and funny.. to make the dumplings look bigger.. haha.. actually it works that way too.. anyway.. yep..it's normal to use it. thanks

  • Hi, roughly, how long does it take to get the boiled kimchi mandu? I mean the timing of boiling mandu. About 2 hours?

  • hi snownorah,

oops.. sorry I didnt quite understand what you are asking.. boiling mandu ?? you mean.. steam to keep in the freezer??? if that's your question.. I will say.. 15 to 20 minutes on high.. thanks

  • Hi again, thanks for your reply =) I've made mandu already, so that question was answered =D again, thank you very much for uploading this video =)

    Artist: Elly

    Title: UR My style

    thanks !!!

  • Thanks! One more: what's the name of the first R&B song?

  • Hi groundfloor711,

"너를 원해" I don't know the English name for the song.. but if I translate..it means.. "I want you" ^^

  • davidhuebel /

I know that it is possible to use tofy which is instead of meet.

boiling the tofu. and drain.squeeze tofu.

    and making 'grained tofu'.

    last. mixed all them

    May be it is right.

  • Wow, your food looks amazing! I can't wait to try some of these recipes at home. :)

By the way, what is the name of the song at the beginning of this video? Thank you so much!

  • hi janekim1

Thank you for your comment. The first song is..

"너를 원해" by Elly (Seo, In-young)

  • Thank you so much! I will try to cook this for my hubby~

  • hi, sabika1983

Oh~~~ sweet wife... hehe I'm sure your hubby will be very happy to eat your dumplings. thanks :)

  • How come if i dont have kimchi, it is okay to make this without kimchi?

  • Hi, edithv16

aha...there are different kinds of mandu. usually if you don't use kimchi.. you can use cabbage.. I'm going to post normal mandu using cabbage and meat someday too. thanks !!!

  • Looks great; I'm making it right now :-) As soon as I started, I realized I had a few questions. Too late for this time (oh well :-P) but I have a feeling I'll want to make this again soon. Here are my questions:

How long do you recommend marinating the beef and the kimchi?

I'm using tofu instead of beef; do you have any special recommendations for how to use tofu?

Olive oil? Really??? I'm going to trust you and use olive oil :-) but I'm very surprised!

    P.S. Great video; thanks!

  • Hi, davidhuebel

aha.. usually..I prepare meat and kimchi at the beginning of the cooking for this recipe.. so while you prepare other ingredients you marinate them.. about at least 30 minutes will be enough for meat..kimchi can be less than that.. yes.. you can use tofu instead of beef... mashed the tofu..and remove the liquid from it.. with salt or soy sauce .. give saltness in it. you can use normal oil too..but I like olive oil or health..hehe thanks !!

  • Wow, impressive!

  • oooh i'm a big fan of korean food. this looks awesomo. ummmmm dumpling.

  • Hi, azndramaking

I'm happy to meet a big Korean food fan like you..hehe thanks !!!

so you are a kimchi lover.. great !! thanks !!!

  • looks good!!

  • Hi, Kal123Fish

    ^^ Thanks !!

  • ...very much oil ...xD

  • i have a question ^^;

will the recipe still be good...

if i didnt add the kimichi

(not much of a kimchi fan) haha

  • Hi, elloitzamber

    haha.. I can understand..

yes.. we have mandu without kimchi also..

you can skip...but for the perfect recipe.. someday..I will post normal mandu also for you..just wait for me.. :)

  • i made it w/o the kimchi and it turned out well :) thanks

  • Hi, elloitzamber

    Oh~~~ great !! thanks !!!

  • ah, kimchi. the ultimate crave of my ancestors, whom all, for some reason, developed taste for it....

damn it all, i freaking love kimchi. why, why, oh WHY?!

  • hi, dahwang12

haha..I really can feel that you love kimchi..^^

    thanks !!!

  • It looks so yummy :) that you for showing how to make it! I will have to try it out!

  • Wonderful, as usual!!

  • Yummy! :D Looks delicious!

  • thank you :) if i have any more questions i wont be afraid to ask :)

    and it looks yummy!!!

  • thank you so much for sharing.

    but i have a question.

is there a dumplin for vegetarian?

my friend doesn't eat meat and i would like

to make dumplings for my next party

but i dont want her to feel left out.

  • Hi, MyBowlOfRamen

Depending on what kind of ingredients you use for dumplings you can make it for vegetarian..but this video recipe has meat in it. Okay, I will recommend you this way.. switch the meet to tofu. Use the same amount of tofu with meat and add spices for meat in the tofu. Mush the tofu like ground beef. Thanks for your question !!! You are very sweet to your friend. :) If you have any more question, please let me know ~~~~

  • I know this is late but why dont you use quorn?

  • Hi, Mafiadaughter ^^

I found what is.. quorn.. Thanks !!!

I wonder what it will taste like.. :)

  • wow this was really wonderful

  • Hi, 1happy2b ^^

wow you have old kmich you forgotten? give me some..I need kimchi..ㅜ.ㅜ hehe. thanks for comment !!!!

  • Thanks a lot for explaining!! Your food looks delicious by the way!

  • Hi, griffinhearts

    It's really my pleasure !!!! Have a good weekend !!! ^^

  • Hey Aeriskitchen, is there a reason for the difference in shape for boiling and frying? Would be make a difference if I just did it in one shape and then boil and fry them? Thanks!

  • Hi, griffinhearts

Here is my answer for your question..hehe When you fry, you want your dumpling skin becomes crispy golden brown not black from burning..hehe but at the same time..the inside of the dumpling should be cooked,, especially the meat. So..if the shape is flat not round..it's good to fry.. for soup.. since you cook the dumping in the boiling water.. you don't want..the skin is tore in the boiling water.. if it's wrap round shape like the one in my video..it's better.

  • continue~~~

But I do think ..there is no rule. You can make any kind of dish either frying or soup with both shapes, flat and round. If you want to make only one shape or you only have one shape..then..My personal recommendation is.. flat shape can be better for both dishes. because the round shape one is more difficult to fry..but the flat shape can be okay for soup. I hope you can understand my English. ^^:; thanks for question !!

  • great video - can't wait to try it!!

  • Thanks !!!! ^__________^

  • You just stick the wrappers together with water? or is it egg?

  • Hi, sinnae404

You can use both. I used just water since it also works good. But, if you want to use egg, you can ~~~ ^^ Thanks !!

  • looks so good!! i have to try this!

  • yummy!

  • Thanks ^^ Have a good day!!!!

  • haha..^^ Thanks. Then, I have a question. What this means? =P ?? oops...

  • =P is a tongue sticking out haha
