Having Magus in the party for this battle makes it so much better IMO. He gives an epic speech before, and his theme plays throughout.

I easily defeated Zeal the first time with Crono, Lucca, and either Frog or Robo (I don't remember which).

I love how throughout the boss fight u see the planet moving below the omen, the atmosphere in the horizon and the red planet just above zeal.

Yes, but do it in a later period, if you do it as many times as possible then you can steal more gear of the bosses

Ah yes zeal. TIPS: Charm the parts and use elixir. Use delta 3d (dont temember that tech) Its super nice things you can get. Zeal is a easy boss i defeated zeal when my characters was lvl 45. I used Marle, Chrono and Ayla and first i used twin charm at the parts then i used final kick. (i heal to)

Eh...I gotta admit that I prefered fighting always with Magus in the party...cause his music plays if you have him fighting with you against Zeal, and you get some additional dialogue.

It's just called Battle Boss #2. Big bosses all have it, usually reserved for the top boss of that particually era and mainly bosses that make a major difference in storylines when you beat them. (ex Masa&Mune, Black Tyrano /w Azala).

Btw I would go fight Queen Zeal 4x in a game (do it in future first, then 1000 AD, 600 AD and finally her time period 12000 BC) and bring Ayla everytime lol cheap way to deck everyone out with prism stuff and other great items in there.

The theme you hear the theme of the fight against the Black Tyrano, the Rust Tyrano and the second battle against Masa & Mune. But if you use Magus, you will here Magus's theme.

I have an easier suggestion on beating her. After charming, just use 3-D Attack a few times on the head. For me it does about 4,000 points of damage. Three times and she is owned. =D
