Its not HD at all.. It's a uncommon 560p, between standard definition and high-def. I own one as a reference.

It is HD, just not a common resolution due to the ways in which video is made.. 480p is HD.. as is 720i and on up.. HD doesn't necessarily ONLY mean 1080p

Great test clip!! I love the visual quality of this camera.Pare it with a good v.e.s(video editing software)and some really good indie films can be made.I just got mine and, uploaded the software to shoot video.Still trying to figure out how to raise the fps.Good luck to you,peace.

No, the 450D has no mic. You have to do all audio after the fact.

The easiest way to accomplish this is to record with another device simultaneously that does audio very well then combine them in some video editing software later and sync them.
