It's good that action was taken. That guy had to be aware of what he was leaving in the street saying he drove through it 3 times. He just figured he'd get away with it and someone else would have to deal with it. Classic asshole move
i live in the central Illinois area and there is laws about having to remove snow from your sidewalks. but plowing or pushing snow into the road way can get you into some trouble as i do some small parking lots and residential driveways . the driveways i do push across the street when there is no other option BUT i do not leave it there for city truck to clean up i clean up what i push out and i have had a local police officer tell me that i am the only person that he ha seen do that
i plow in mass. i do a few driveways privatly and work for a company plowing parking lots, clearing sidewalks and shoveling. if we see people putting snow into the road either plowing shoveling or snowblowing we dont hesitate to push it right back to their driveway or sidewalk when we drive by.
The owner of the property where the video was taken had to clean up the sidewalks of his snow AND the neighbor's snow which was pushed back to the curb by the road crew trucks (three big trucks seen in the video) otherwise chance getting fined by the town for snow on the sidewalk.
No blame is placed on the road crew trucks as they were doing their job by clearing the street.
By the way it was a repeat performance throughout the snow storm resulting is more snow on the sidewalks.
