Bengals are quite dog like too. Ours likes to sleep on top of me in bed and is there the minute I get into bed. If I'm late she sits and waits for me. If I start work at 1am she gets up when I do, sits on the kitchen worktop till I go; and then goes back to bed with my wife once I've gone. She runs indoors when she hears my car coming and sits just inside the house waiting for me. We've left her alone, with a cat sitter when we've been away for a weekend and will get ignored on our return. oops

Bengals are great pets; they are so quirky. We have 12 cats, mostly Bengal Siamese crosses. Bengals think they are equal to humans in all ways. Our "Paris" (Pure Bengal) looks just like the one in the video. They don't like being picked up, but love attention. They are always with myself or my wife, and don't seem to be outdoor cats either. They are very curious and will pull your hand towards them to look at what you are holding. They are strong willed and very naughty at times. We love them!!

@Betcar81 Sorry to hear about the loss of your cat. We had a beautiful Bengal cross queen; killed outside our home by a car. She was such a lovely cat and ran out in the road and laid down waiting to be made a fuss of; by my stepdaughter. A woman driving down the road was watching a bride in her rear view mirror and never saw our cat and she died before they got her to a vet. The womans attitude was callous and uncaring. My wife still misses her even though that was over three years ago.

That cat is absolutely precious! Once I finish my education, and some day can afford it, it's my dream to get a bengal cat. My cat has a regular housecat with a similar character, also very playful, athletic, very sweet and devoted and very vocal, and I love him. haha my Bengal, Ray, loves to tell me about his day when I get home from work. When I am on the phone for too long he comes over and starts yelling at me because I am ignoring him. So now I try to include him in phone convo's. Yes they are very expensive, but I got mine at an SPCA. He was 3 years old. I wouldn't trade him for the world. I have recentley got a TICA registered pure bred bengal for only 250 USD ^_^ He's my little boy, I named him Max. My brother also got one and they too are very vocal <3 I love them

@punter653 It depends on where you get the cat. Many people by back-yard breeder bengals for that price here and mistake them for "pet quality" bengals when they only thing they have going for them is the spots. The truth is those arent "pet quality" bengals, those are cats whose parents TICA registration is the only thing they have going for them. You shouldnt breed two bengals together who'd be laughed out of a show hall, unless of course it's a bengal with some trait that should be passed on.

you can get a bengal cat from a REPUTABLE breeder with papers for between 300-900 bucks. Depends on the quality of the cat. Marbles are usually the cheapest. Whoever said 2grand I think you have the wrong breed.

most breeders here in sweden around 8-9 of them take around 800 euros(thats around 1000usd) for one bengal kitten..and even if the cat is a few years old they take around 500euros if not more so bengals arent cheap...i wish i could get my hands on one but seems like an impossible thing :(

@TheSundora ya I got mine from a breeder with papers and registered with TIBCS and he was only 350 and not Marble. I think those in the 600-1000 dollar range are the 'show case' cats. If your not entering them in a show or into any of that and spending over a grand on a cat...thats a little over the top.

You stack up 100 spotted bengals and 100 marble bengals together and average their prices, the marble average will be considerably lower. Most people who buy bengals want the spots. And for 350, I doubt a spotted cat would have huge tri colored rosettes, a nice head, and most of the other things Bengals are supposed to have. if it does, you're lucky because thats not typical.
