  • awesome song! this was played in our church on sunday by a pro musician and he did it awesomely!!! love this song so much and captures the essence of my belief <3

  • The bass capo is for the root on an open string while he is playing the melody during the intro and breaks on the higher register!

  • Maybe the bass capo is to produce harmonics. But I do not hear any bass harmonics.

  • Love this song, but just wondered why a capo on bass ???

  • That's one Crazy Cult.

  • With all that is happening in the world today I found this uplifting and comforting. Thank You and God Bless - Patricia Clark

  • Love this. One church, one voice - rejoice. Amen!

  • Fantastic.

  • Awesome song - very reserved performance tho - don't know how you can sing rejoice! without lifting your hand up in praise to our great saviour! Praise God!!!

  • Great Spirit filled body of worship...

  • "A cheerful heart is a good medicine", Thank you Kieth and Kristyn, I'm going through a health ebb, but this song really makes my heart cheer up:D thanks! Praise the Lord!

  • google Doe's Account, mindblowing.

  • @lizajane54 I agree! Couldn't have said it better!

  • I have just come to hear of you guys. Love your music, love the style. I'm a christian and I find it uplifting. to day I have to make serious decision about my mum (97)years so I listen to Come, people of the risen king to lift my spirits. thanks for being their.

  • Lol! At time 1:10 I see my last name. :)

  • KEITH AND KRISTYN GETTY SONG IS GOOD

  • I heard this song for th first time this week and it is exceptional. Kristyn has such a beautiful voice and she puts such life into the song. I would love to see them inc concert if they come to Northern Wisconsin or Northeastern Minnesota.

  • I just got back from a concert they did at my church.

  • I just don't how it all happened, but although my parents had nothing whatever so do with this, I have always totally hated Jesus Christ. Nothing in particular, but there's just something so painfully fradulent and fake about him and these fairy tales. This must be something genetic, since no one forced me to think this way, but it's just that I find Jesus fucking awful. Everything about him smells rotten. I have no hate in my heart except for Jesus.

  • I'm really sorry to hear that... I guess I can understand how you feel, because even as a Christian sometimes i know i myself and other Christians can be "fake" in the way we behave towards others? And for that i apologise... it sounds insincere and really lame coming off a virtual thing but yup. If you are willing to, only if you are, read the Bible (again, if you already have) - if you can get your hands on a Good News or Message translation. Cos every Christian on earth might be fake and

  • awful, but Jesus Christ assuredly is not (: That's all not trying to convince or convert you at all, just go read it and grapple with it - Jesus is not a straightforward character at all.

  • @rumpwrestler, there is nothing fake about Jesus. He was the Divine Son of God who created the universe and us, and who took the form of man for our sakes. Through his death, the free offer of eternal life is extended to us. I pray that if you have not yet believed His loving promise, that you will repent of your sins and believe! He never refuses any truly repentant heart and will never fail His children.

  • Is that Walt Mossberg in the choir at 1:29 (on the left) ??

  • Just wanted to say thank you soooo much for the wonderfully inspiring performance @ GCC in S.V., CA a few weeks ago...and to tell you that since we now have your songbook, we sang this song in my small group for the very first time last week! Soli Dei Gloria! He has given you a wonderful gift!

  • This song is one of my favourite songs. Keith and Kristyn's music and words are so uplifting. They were fantastic in Dundee last year - please come to the North of Scotland !

The electric guitar on this song on Awaken the Dawn (their latest album) is beautiful (and I'm not even a guitarist).

Getty / Townend songs - deep truths, beautiful music. Thank you !

    xD

  • Matthew 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

  • Yes, religion is a joke. I'm so glad you have come to that realization! I can only hope that you have/will come to realize that God is interested in relating to you in a real way!

  • The Gettys are a great new song writing couple from Great Britain. They are committed to writing hymns for a new generation.

  • Who are these people? They seem good, but I always wonder if some people have "paid their dues"... though I suppose it's all up to God anyway, right? Right.

  • This song was written by Keith and Kristyn Getty. They are singing and playing the piano. You can see their tour band in the description.

  • this is atcually a good song : )

  • Five stars!! Favourites!!! Playlist!! Just delightful, praises to Our King!!!

  • This promises to be one of the all-time Favorites! The ability of the Getty's to integrate Scripture into their song-writing is indeed a gift the Lord Jesus has blessed them with! Amen to all of the above.
