  • i love Beyonce to death, but whoever thinks she writes all her songs. HERE'S PROOF SHE DOESNT

  • @NehVinRay i love beyonce too and Beyontourage knows she doesnt write all of her songs, but she has written songs for DC that was #1 and ppl talk like she doesnt deserve writing credit.. she was the first black female to win the NAACP for best songwriter

  • @MizzReyRey First black female to win the ASCAP award....lol

  • everyone subscribe to my youtube <3

  • I see people talking about writing credits. Pretty much if the artist has no production or writing credits on a track, if that song blows up a huge portion of the money goes to the producers, writers, and the record label. Even though you provided the vocal and the performances to promote it, your stuck with a small percentage in profit with out credits. thats why alot of singers from back in the day are broke, but the producers and song writers are still banking from those hits. AKA royalties

  • obviously the world knows bey doesnt write all of her songs. she used to back in destiny's child. and some songs today. but come on.. she doesnt HAVE TO WRITE HER OWN SONGS. she loves giving other people opertunities to get notied.. shes always been like that

  • @9481bdaybeyonce she doesnt write most of her songs.....i love beyonce but she is not a songwriter. she is an entertainer..and she will be more than happy to pay for hit, Thats how Matthew Knowles got destiny's child on the map by hiring the best producers and then making them put the names of the girls on writing credits...I may be the only one who reads credits..but Latavia, Letoya, Beyonce and Kelly all wrote say my name...Really? No how about LaShawn Daniels and Rodney wrote it

  • He wanted to give this sont to fanastia but beyonce got it first.

  • Why the hell was Beyonce given songwriting credit for this... Nothing is different about her version except the gender switches...

  • @lufflyness technically, even though she just switched the gender of the song, it's still creative input. therefore, she gets writing credits.

  • @flowenomics I bet it wasn't even her who did the gender switches tbh and even if she did, if someone else tried to pull something like that their ass would be sued. It's a shame Beyonce is abusing her power and status and an even bigger shame that songwriters continue to be wiling to cave in.

  • @lufflyness Beyonce has admitted that she mostly just recomposes and adds a few words/lines. Notice how the brighe changed from "you must not know bout me" to "to the left"? Also notice how some parts are sang in different ways? That's what she changes. She doesn't sing it exactly the same way.

  • @cenwerem not significant enough to say she wrote it...but good for her for trying..songwriting needs to be taken more seriously by the listener....we take it for granted that we are hooked in by the hook....or that the we really identify with the verses.....that takes times and structuring everything just right..and shouldnt be downplayed just because beyonce walked into the room and changed some a word or two..please!! In the corporate world this is horrible so it should apply to music as well

  • @lufflyness The arrangements, the instruments used, the chord progression are all different. You guys think songwriting is all about lyrics but it is not. She did that, it is a great skilled just like MJ is credited on Bad, it is one the most difficult part about songwriting. It is funny to see people try to discredit the woman.

  • @BnPac1 IDK what you are listening to but the primary beats sound the same except in a higher key... Some of the instruments are indeed different but that doesn't mean you get creative input. And yes, I am trying to discredit Beyonce because many other female artists do similar miniscule changes but don't demand credit.

  • @lufflyness There is not one singer who wrotes harmonies for a song that doesn't ask for credits. She didn't do miniscule changes in that song. She changed the whole atmosphere of the song by changing the pitch, the intruments, the bass line in the back of the song, by adding harmonies. So do you also have a problem when some producers are creadited in songs. Because in the case of artists like Pink that's exactly what they do. They don't contribute to lyrics or melodies.

  • @BnPac1 are we listening to the same song? of course whatever changes she made were very small..to the actual song nothing was really changed! As a songwriter its insulting to think that changing pitch, instrument and bass line (which SHE didnt do) is sufficient for her to say she wrote it...which she did say during a concert. so much work we do in picking the right lyrics and melody and we want a singer to take it to the next level but rihanna couldve sang this song and it would be a hit.

  • @BnPac1 I think it takes a hell of a lot more skill to actually write an entire song. Ne-Yo came up with the concept of the song, wrote the lyrics, created the melody, composed and arranged it. Beyonce listens to it and says "use these instruments." Is that really worthy of the same level of credit Ne-Yo receives as a writer? It is almost disrespectful to the writer.

  • @lufflyness Who said it is worthy the same level of credit? Songwriting is a process that has been like that for ages now. Singers come with their songs in studio, two producres change the instruments, make something louder, something else smoother in order to assure a hit and they get credited. It is as simple as that. Nobody says they do a better job. Bey does exactly that. And Neyo had no problem with her getting credits, he knows better, it is not like she is forcing him.

  • @BnPac1 Ummmm....didn't he diss her for taking too much credit

  • @lufflyness it does take a whole lot of skill.......its extremely difficult at times.people stay up all night for one line!!! sometimes its easy but whatever neyo is mostly responsible for it being a hit

  • @BnPac1 As a musician it is not different! you keep saying that!! the key change is not creative its because neyo is a guy and she is a girl!!...you really think she changed the instruments? i am not so sure.i think she did the vocal arrangements which werent much! the song sounds so so so so similar to the actual one i can sing along thru the whole song without hitting a wrong note. Beyonce is notorious for taking credit since the say my name days! its disrespect to Mariah who actually creates.

  • Well this song makes so much more sense when sung by a guy.

  • damn this bitch don't write shit for herself.. oh wait take that back corny shit like bootylicious..

  • @prettyyungnay omg i thought the samee thing

  • @prettyyungnay neyo may have written this for her but beyonce wrote songs like upgrade you & deja vu & ring the alarm hun

  • Comment removed

  • I wish I could write songs... easiest way to get rich in music.

  • ATTTENTION ALL PEOPLE BEYONCE CO WROTE THIS SONG SO STOOP SAYING THAT SHE DIDNT

  • @Americano951 LMAO

  • @Americano951

Beyonce didn't co-write any of the lyrics. She just got credit for vocal production.

  • @garisbaldeagle she got credit for vocal production and producing the song. neyo wrote the lyrics

  • @Americano951

Well yeah, I know she got production credits as well. Excuse my vague explanation, but she received writer credits for vocal production. That's where that came from.

  • like it better to be honest.

  • I love this! Bey's version is MUCCCCCH better though tbh.

  • WAUW I LUV ITT DAMNN KEEPON PUT IT ON REPLAY

  • filthy rich wish i was song writer

  • wonderful song, great work! neyo and the dream are one of the best songwriters out there..

  • Ne-yo and the dream are great writers omg...they out together the nicest songs for ....Ne-yo's a ok singer and the dream....well he needs to stay in his lane...love em both tho

  • @TheQscorpioqueen throw Keri Hilson and Ester Dean in there too! They haven't written a lot of chart topping songs!

  • Ive seen a few vids of established ppl doing demos for other ppl. Why not use it themselves?

  • hello all artist do not write their music someone writes its and find an artist they think would sing it how they want it .....duh they are called ghost writers they make all the money if they write a hit they get paid because it is their song and the artist get paid for singing it.........

  • what does beyonce actually write herself then? at least all by herself?

  • @BAmazinSongwriter She doesn't have the skills to write her own music and that's okay. She can sing that's all that matters. and it was a blessing for Ne-yo to give this song to her.

  • what does beyonce actually write herself then?

  • @BAmazinSongwriter All the songs on DC albums, all the songs in DIL, the songs in Bday like Freakum Dress, Suga Mama...She has been here for 15 yeas, she is not obliged to write every songs she records. Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and countless other singers never ever wrote a song in their life and people make a fuss because they are some songs on Bey's catalog that weren't written by her?

  • Come on feyo cleo leo trio

  • This is hot! Had no idea that he wrote "Irreplaceable". He always impresses me.

  • ne-yos so fukin talented

  • Ne-yo wrote this song when he saw all his aunt's boyfriend's stuff in the closet packed up and on the left. Then he thought that it was to chauvinistic for a man to sing it, so he sold it to B... Watch more tv people. Lmao. Learned that on Fuse.

  • @RPGent no ne-yo wrote it, the dream wrote single ladies

  • Nice, I still like the finished Product better.

  • @FemaleVocalLover1975 ofc...this is a demo..lol

  • OMG!! I've always wanted to hear Ne-Yo's version, finally the real demo and not him singing at some radio station!! thank you.

  • I love this version!!!!
