how do you magnetize a fly?? I think they might be drunk. When I used fruit flies in the lab we would soak a cotton ball with alcohol and they would just lie around wiggling until you moved them. or you can breathe carbon dioxide on them to make them pass out.
What has no explaination is why the flies continue to keep their ball and turn it around instead of kicking it away. I don't think an animal in trouble reacts playing like a circus seal, no magnetizing is not the answer. I mean, no magnet turns you to a juggler.
I think the best explaination is the one by angeljesso: they are doped.
At 0:12 a leg that is stuck to the table pops loose as the magnet moves away from it to hold the body. At 0:33 an antennea gets sucked to the table surface. Yeah baby!! I'm smart!
