  • isn't S scale REALLY hard to come by now?

  • @Amtrak1194 Not really. Go to S Helper Service and American Models websites for plenty of equipment.

  • Thanx fur sharin'!

  • The engine definitely has the bellows smoke in tender unit. You can see the cap on the tender in the front where the coal is located. They are fun units. I recently refurbished the bellow unit on my locomotive.

  • The track add switches are American model. Thanks for asking.

  • I like it. Nice scenery. I wonder what track is used on the layout. It's not the usual American Flyer track. The Pikemaster switches have a short radius and the switches don't look like Gargraves.

  • Beautiful layout. But I prefer HO\OO or N scale. There's more availability, and more you can do in a smaller space. Still, keep at it!! :)

  • What was your response? layout is sharp!

  • What is the engine pulling the consist? Sound system sounds strange?

  • Yes it is strange sounding. Some of the early models of American Flyer (1947 -48) had the smoke & choo choo unit in the tender. The design was that of a bellows and it is a little noisey. You might also be hearing the MRC Synchro Sound that attaches to the DC transformer that adds more train noise 0

  • very nice!

i assume thats a 50s era steamer heading that train?

  • Good job on the scenery. You have a nice Flyer layout.
