@andydeee Always look on the bright side of life appears at the start, must've tripped YouTube's crappy song recogniser. As for "Pink Floyd fucking suck"...well, each to their own.
I was at this show. I am 16 years old and The Wall has been a huge eye opener in my life. When I left the show, I was walking down the street back to my hotel when my aunt got a phone call from back home. My grandfather passed away around the same time the show ended. It was the first time I had experienced a death of somebody I was really close to. At that moment I wanted to hide away and forget the problems in my life and in the world,
but that album/movie/show made me realize I shouldn't.
this has just reduced me to tears. i';ve got about one month and a half before i see the in Milan. i'm from romania and i'm going to travel all the way to Italy just for a few hours. just to see them. just once.
Theres so many bands that dont have closing songs that have such theatrics as this, And this was the opener haha No show will ever match up to this in my mind
i hope this show will be recorded by professionals. as cool as these little videos are, they totally SUCK when it comes to quality. looks like an incredible show all the same. thanks for sharing. we saw RW on his last tour and it set the high mark for all the shows i've seen. i thought i'd seen the best and wouldn't have to go to another concert. looks like i was wrong:-[
@lloydm9 I have the sneaking suspicion that the showa are all being recorded for potential DVD/CD release- but the one that will likely get the official release is gonna be the one with Gilmour guesting- probably one that takes place in summer of 2011, methinks.
@DarkeningSkies1 that's a very good possibility..another one is Mexico city it seems he was pleased with the reaction of the fans when they used their lighters to keep time to the music in the song waiting for the worms"
It looks pretty cool..i saw it here on you tube..
But more than likely it will be when he shares the stage with Guilmour..So i agree with you.
i was fortunate enough to see this in the tocoma dome in WA. i didnt want it to end. im 16 and thats probably the best concert ill see in my lifetime since no modern bands will even give a enough shit to produce a anstonishing concert like this one,
I remember seeing the homeless looking guy going down the aisles. I think they change it up every night though, because the one I saw on the 17th had a long white beard, or something like that. (And on that note, 8 prompt, my butt. It must have been part of the show though. You can actually hear stuff that relates to the Wall's message.
Also, HE'S NOT LIP-SYNCHING! He actually re-trained his voice for this to get back the range. And he's 76! What's everybody else's excuse?!
that guy with the cart and sign that said need money for booze and hookers was roger waters...lol saw him in vegas last friday nite and he kicked fucking ass a great preformance, but then it is roger...also saw his dark side of the moon tour in 06 in chicago amazing!!!
I just got back from the first LA show...incredible. A real life changer, at least for me. The crowd was the best and something I heard from a backup singer, David will do his show in Europe :(
Anyone else notice that the comments on the vids about this show say things like "unbelievable," "incredible," "amazing," "words can't describe it," and "show of a lifetime?"
@TheBigPrettyOne Let me try ... :) In addition to the memory-evoking music itself and the struggles of the individual embodied in Pinky, Roger Waters shows his fans, from a multitude of angles, the plight of the helpless caused by the greed & callousness of humans more powerful. It's hard for me to recall another artist as poignant as Floyd is in bringing out the best in the hearts of the audience, reminding them that their yearning for a kinder world is shared by the 19,999 fans in the arena.
@TheBigPrettyOne I am so stoaked about this concert. I have seats for the Dec. 11 Show at the Tacoma Dome. I have been waiting for this concert since 1979. In 79 I was a senior in High School when this album came out. I loved it immediatly. I seen the movie a dozen times at least. I am dying to see this show. I just hope i dont die before the next 3 weeks
@LesSmith45 AWESOME! I was born in 1976, first listened to Floyd in about 88, got all the albums, never saw them live. Went to the show on Nov 16 in Tampa FL, and OMG it was amazing. I am still glowing.
It was the most amazing concert I've ever been to--and I go to a LOT.
It was more than a concert, more than a show. It was an experience of a lifetime, honest to God!
I hope you don't die before then, either. Afterwards, though, you probably won't mind.
@TheBigPrettyOne Dude I made it didnt die before the show. every thing you said ten fold is the experience i had. The best show of my life. And i have taken in at least 100+ concerts since 1980. I will never see anything like that again EVER! I have seen most of all the great classic rockers from McCartney to Clapton (by the way just picked up clapton tickets for Feb 26) and nothing remotley came close. The only thing that bums me out is that i cannot see it again. Unless i travel to europe.
@LesSmith45 awesome man! yeh, i wish i could see it again. sometimes, in life though, once is perfect. i'm gonna leave it as that for me. it was an amazing night, probably the most amazing of my life... =)
@mike3571 Mike it blew me away. I stayed away from youtube leading up to the show because i wanted to be suprised. I am 49 and was a senior in HS when this album came out. I seen the movie the first 3 nights it showed in Olympia. I probably have listened to the album at least 100+ times in its enirity. My seat were in the 6th row from the floor. I was exactly in the middle of the stadium (half court line) I have been to well over 100 concerts in my lifetime from McCartney to Clapton.
@mike3571 None of those concerts even came close to this show. It was mind blowing. The projections was out of this world. He sounded so good. Even though Gilmour was not there i could not tell the difference. I wish i could see it again about 10 more times. There was so much going on it was hard to see everything. Sensory overload. But the best experience i ever had. Bar none. What did you think? were was your seat?
Going to Houston to see the show Sat. night. As big as this is it would have been mega huge if it was billed as Pink Floyd. While David Gilmour & Dave Mason are sitting at home getting older..Roger is rocking to the Wall. Oh only what it could have been.
Just got back from the concert, Tampa Florida. It was very entertaining. I did not know Roger Waters could be such an actor~! It was like a theater rather than a typical concert. Fantastic. Up close to the stage, it was worth it.
@backpackdaveFloyd the show was amazing. his vocals were 99% of what he could do 30 years ago and it really is astounding. it was a very good show and i wish i could go again tonight. :)
@jeffuryca If you really want to see the plane and its crash, go to the video I took at the New York show on November 6 that I have uploaded onto the same channel. You're right, on Night 1 of the tour back in Toronto I had no idea of the plane!
@thundermonty I had a three day break and a free frequent-flier ticket and wanted some sun, so I did look into the Fort Lauderdale show but FLL didn't work out: e.g. venue not within walking distance of the beach and no convenient transit service after the show .... :( But how was the show? Enjoyed it, I hope ...? :)
@nemesis7666 I know ... well ... I think I know: the hardest thing is to describe how and why the show impacted you to friends who didn't go .... :( Good luck! :)
Is he doing any othe songs besides The Wall? If so, can anybody name the playlist? He is down in south Florida for the next 2 nights. I know if I don't go, I will have some serious regrets...lol.
Seria un sueño estar en ese lugar, lamentablemente nunca lo voy a cuplir, pink floyd ni roger :( te felicito espero que lo ayas disfrutado tanto como lo hbiera echo yo...
@marianofiore35 ¿Nunca vas a cumplir? Roger Waters comenzó su gira "Dark Side of the Moon" en 2006, pero no llegó a la Argentina hasta el 17 de marzo 2007. ¿Entonces quizá vaya más tarde, no? Aún no pierde la esperanza. De todos modos, gracias por tus comentarios. (No he practicado mi español desde deciembre 2009; ahora es malo .... :( )
I want to go and see him at the M.E.N., but can't afford the prices........................pisses me right off cos I've been an avid fan since the early 80's!!!
I was thinking today. I know you are saying, finnaly! But think of this, its a wonderful VETERNS DAY, and if their was the most logical day to thank the FALLEN, it would be a Gracious day, for Gilmore to play his one song, wouldn't it !
I was thinking today. I know you are saying, finnaly! But think of this, its a wonderful VETERNS DAY, and if their was the most logical day to thank the FALLEN, it would be a Gracious day, for Gilmore to play his one song, wouldn't it !
@mountainbmx Now that I've actually examined the shell of the camera, it's 14.1 pixel but, as per discussion at the site indicated, I do not recommend buying this camera for concert videoing.
Incredible show, I went to it last nigh in Omaha, NE. It's an amazing visual spectacle and the music is as good as the original Pink Floyd recordings. Easily my new favorite concert.
I just saw this show last night in columbus ohio and the homeless man there was pushing a cart with a sign that read "Homeless, will work for beer" or something to that effect..I thought it was pretty cool lol
Seeing him in Dusseldorf next June. Saw the 1990 Berlin Wall concert, which was U-F-B. Think I'd better buy some more tickets to another show - forgot about the 'shellshock' kind of effect that seeing a RW concert has on you.
just saw them on long island words cannot describe what it was like to see that after all these years truly awesome spectacle!must go if you get the chance goin for a second time in november
@SkyexPilot Because the plane appears at the end of the short opening song, a time that people longing for the show are completely wrapped up, they don't see it till the last seconds. Having said that, one guy who was at the same show as the one where this vid was shot told me that he was going to the 3rd show two days later. So, I asked him to take it on that night but he told me later that he had totally missed it (again): see up-thread. Very easy to get totally absorbed & forget!
@backpackdaveFloyd so i watched the whole show in teh palace here in michigain it was teh best thing i ever saw...everything was amazing it was the best time of my life.its a must see even if u dont really like pink floyd taht much well seeing this show will make u love them

Simply AMAZING!
Roger is the embodiment of a generation who is fed up of treacherous governments and pointless wars killing and ruining the human race.
Minor changes to the scenario includes as airplane crossing the arena into the wall and Roger dressed in a cool Nazi trench coat.

@marianofiore35 ¿Nunca vas a cumplir? Roger Waters comenzó su gira "Dark Side of the Moon" en 2006, pero no llegó a la Argentina hasta el 17 de marzo 2007. ¿Entonces quizá vaya más tarde, no? Aún no pierde la esperanza. De todos modos, gracias por tus comentarios. (No he practicado mi español desde deciembre 2009; ahora es malo .... :( )

Entonces, marianofiore35: ¿Por fin? :)

I was thinking today. I know you are saying, finnaly! But think of this, its a wonderful VETERNS DAY, and if their was the most logical day to thank the FALLEN, it would be a Gracious day, for Gilmore to play his one song, wouldn't it !

how many megapixels is your camera?
mountainbmx 1 year ago
@mountainbmx Please see channel comments section for complete info on make and model of the camera.
backpackdaveFloyd 1 year ago

BlamingAliceFan 1 year ago
Seeing him in Dusseldorf next June. Saw the 1990 Berlin Wall concert, which was U-F-B. Think I'd better buy some more tickets to another show - forgot about the 'shellshock' kind of effect that seeing a RW concert has on you.

The homeless character pushing the cart has become an icon.
A (supposed) homeless guy pushing around "pink" in the bottom of a trash-filled shopping cart and then tossing it onstage is metaphor for something.
How about the audio clips from Spartacus ?

@SkyexPilot other footages show no plane too
ontherun8 1 year ago
@SkyexPilot Because the plane appears at the end of the short opening song, a time that people longing for the show are completely wrapped up, they don't see it till the last seconds. Having said that, one guy who was at the same show as the one where this vid was shot told me that he was going to the 3rd show two days later. So, I asked him to take it on that night but he told me later that he had totally missed it (again): see up-thread. Very easy to get totally absorbed & forget!
