Good interview but sorry she chose to promote the myth that Maori was forbidden to be spoken 50 years ago. This myth is nothing more than that - back in the 1880s schools yes, but not 50 years ago.

I love to see her around her "students", she looks very proud when he speaks maori, something she couldn't do at his age and, my personal opinion, something she regrets not knowing.
