It's a sad situation, but the border looks very much like the US/Mexican border in many places, with watchtowers, miles of barbed wire, cameras, floodlights, armed guards (on the US side). Why divide anyone? Borders are sad political creations.

continue....but I've been to Moscow many times and Moscow is far better than N. America. They just check my passport, stamp on it and that's all. In Britain and EU, they even say Konnichiwa welcome. Not 5 minutes. Actually imprisoning starts when I board on a USA airliner. The crews of the plane are incredibly racists and rude. Then the real imprisoning starts at the immigration after the plane landed in USA. The immigration officers are like jailers interrogating prisoners.
