  • This is by far my favorite Adam´s hairstyles era. jaja

  • ok thats really fuckin powerful

  • Man, this live version of "Rejoice", this is just flat out pure POWER.

  • "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[f] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.[g] 19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world

  • This was when U2 meant something. Joshua Tree did for them what "Eliminator" did for ZZTop-ruined them, though it made them rich.

  • every band needs to grow, progress and change to stay vital. U2 have done this wonderfully, that's why they are the biggest band in the world 34 years into their career. but make no mistake - the U2 of the early 80's was the best U2 the world ever saw. untouchable as a live band.

  • yeah but in music not staying young is usually bad. They're like adult contemporary rock now. Boring and not original. At best a parody of themselves. Lyrically bono did get better with time but he peaked around unforgettable fire and joshua tree. Acthung baby is ok too if just different.

Anyway I like how bono totally forgets the lyrics here. Not like they're that hard to remember. hehe.

  • Yeah, war was their departure album, but I like everything from Boy to Joshua Tree mostly and can tolerate Rattle and Hum but after that I thought they jumped the shark a little. But I don't mind it too much. They are Legends now, so I figure, they can put out whatever kind of album they want.

  • I suppose when a group "grows up" as you say, they become more aclomplished musically and they maybe become better lyric writers. U2 are very slick now compared to the days of Boy and October. I grew up with early "raw" U2 and prefer it to the post War era, even though their best songs were probably all written since War (One, Vertigo etc).

  • smokin

  • we will

  • sound quality is brutal wtf

  • You guys are rich. 'Lost their spark,' my ass. They just grew up...nobody stays 19 forever.

  • theyre just so much more original at that time and more, themselves... I mean I loved Joshua tree, but after that... they just got bad and fake...

  • I SOPPED LISTENING AFTER joshua tree as well cuz i got into british punk and new wave goth....but now all there albums after that are growing on me.....ill still consider them my fav band...and this album was the first i heard when i was 5 rs old

  • This is by far my favorite U2 era. Wow. Power.

  • Rejoice...nice riff Edge!
