Cropping pics isn't necessarily done to hide anything. It is often used to direct your eye to what is actually being photographed. It's a better picture of the earth without the stars, making us look even more alone in the cosmos. The picture of the crater is a picture of the crater, so eliminate background images and you focus more on the crater.
I believe some of the photo's were tampered with to hide what they didn't want us to see. Ben Rich Lockheed Skunk Works CEO had admitted in his Deathbed Confession that Extraterrestrial UFO visitors are real and U.S. Military travel to stars. Add on 50 years of reverse engineering technology onto the U2 stealth bomber and were probably closer to the truth! Excellent video. During the Disclosure Project, a former NASA employee talked about the image tampering. But the extent to which ....its just shocking. Is that why we don't see any stars in these photos? Also, William Cooper said there is an atmosphere on the moon, maybe that's what they were trying to obscure??
You do know that the earth is not a perfect sphere, right? It's actually more oval in shape because of the gravity of the poles. The earth is longer on the axis in which it spins. There is nothing inherently strange about the picture of the earth.
Also, there wouldn't be a star field around objects that either put off or reflect light because the light given off is greater than that of the stars, thus rendering them invisible. (I'm a former photo-tech.)

3rd, why would stars appear in a photo of earth and not in a photo of the moon taken from earth? Why would a photo using daylight exposure settings (as used in the shot of the earth) EVER show stars? It can't. 4th, people always complain that Apollo images are all so perfect. Now you complain that their PR material is cropped, dodged or straightened? Which is it?
What you assume is "tampering" is normal photo darkroom work or the result of correcting overly-copied material...not the boogie man.
1st, you are not dealing with "original" NASA material. NO ONE does. Old Apollo material has been copied DOZENS of times in most cases. You may be using copies that 3rd parties have cropped to remove text or vignetting caused in the copying process. 2nd, name an organization that releases ALL their photos without touching them up for PR purposes. At least NASA releases both PR AND raw materials (fairly close to original) on request.
I'm indifferent, if there is evidence to believe this then I will consider it. I found 3 of these images and did the color adjustment myself. AS12-51-7541 is a good one to consider. The original hi-res photo does not contain these blacked out sections, no cropping. Honestly I believe you doctored the photos or were duped with low-res photos or with images that were encoded twice. Also there are better methods to detect image manipulation.

From the net in 2009 or from books from the 1970s? Scanned or what?. Scanning artifacts, media artifacts, jpeg/graphics artifacts. No mystery here as I can see whatsoever. The square areas you show are results of image stitching where some parts of the image data was merged with other images, thus not color corrected etc.

But that's not what this video is about, the video is about that the photos which was taken on/from the moon is manipulated. Basically they took the pictures and then they edited out what they didn't want us in the public to see which is wrong. we diserve to know what's going on around us, people are paying taxes which parts of it is going to NASA's research, they wouldn't be where they are now without our money.
Image tampering, whilst suspicious, doesn't really tell you much. They could have done it for many reasons. Usually it's to make pictures look better. Do you doubt that the pictures in the 'Blue Marble' series were taken from space?
I have that very Earth picture as a poster in my room, and have done so ever since I can remember. To think that I unknowingly had a tampered-with image hanging on my wall this whole time.......it almost scares me.

The most interesting and obvious fact of the photographic manipulation of the bite numbers chosen as in "1" or "2" versus the "0" black boxes is the fact that these numbers weren't arbitrarily chosen, but picked specifically. So, the evidence indicates that while the images were obfuscated, the photo editors had enough integrity to leave their signatures saying that "here" is where we hid the truth; otherwise all the values would have been "0"...anything other than zero is a deliberate choice.
I thought the reason why you dont see stars is because the moon has no atomosphere and because the light from the stars is light years away that the camera would have a very very hard time picking it up

Think about x-ray machines, there is a reason the dr stands behind that lead wall, and the end result is the x-rays penetrate your body and affects the film. In space, you have a constant bombardment of this as well as other forms of radiation. I just spent 15 minutes refreshing my memory with the effects on humans, but if i can, i'm sure you can and would understand it better than me explaining it. =]

Cropping pics isn't necessarily done to hide anything. It is often used to direct your eye to what is actually being photographed. It's a better picture of the earth without the stars, making us look even more alone in the cosmos. The picture of the crater is a picture of the crater, so eliminate background images and you focus more on the crater.

Obvious questions:
1) Where did these copies come from? EVERY Apollo photo is a copy.
2) If a photo can be taken of earth, why hide stars?
3) How were stars allegedly hidden in Apollo video & film?
4) Who at NASA had Photoshop (or anything digital) in 1970?
5) Are you sure no anomalies are incidentally added in processing?
6) Did you check every 1 of ~20,000 Apollo photos?
7) Do you know a photographer who can properly expose something as bright as daylight moon & earth & still expose stars?

I believe some of the photo's were tampered with to hide what they didn't want us to see. Ben Rich Lockheed Skunk Works CEO had admitted in his Deathbed Confession that Extraterrestrial UFO visitors are real and U.S. Military travel to stars. Add on 50 years of reverse engineering technology onto the U2 stealth bomber and were probably closer to the truth! Never under estimate the human gut feeling. There was a landing, but there was also tampering with the images. It may be far more sinister than people think, and most of all, why the heck there is no "recent" images from the moon, why aren't we back there (can you imagine how exciting it would be to watch the astronauts in full HD 3D) and why is it that suddenly everyone seems to have lost interest in this adventure?

You do know that the earth is not a perfect sphere, right? It's actually more oval in shape because of the gravity of the poles. The earth is longer on the axis in which it spins. There is nothing inherently strange about the picture of the earth.
Also, there wouldn't be a star field around objects that either put off or reflect light because the light given off is greater than that of the stars, thus rendering them invisible. (I'm a former photo-tech.)
There is nothing strange in this video.

1:The earth does not appear to be a perfect sphere from space. That's inane. You can't see the entire earth in any pictures taken from space because the light is always at a different point and part of the earth is always shadowed.
2: No, that's not what I'm suggesting. The pressure on the axis on which the earth spins creates an elongation of the object that is rotating. Like rolling out clay.
3: You have no room to speak about "contempt for science" if you can be bothered to read properly.

3rd, why would stars appear in a photo of earth and not in a photo of the moon taken from earth? Why would a photo using daylight exposure settings (as used in the shot of the earth) EVER show stars? It can't. 4th, people always complain that Apollo images are all so perfect. Now you complain that their PR material is cropped, dodged or straightened? Which is it?
What you assume is "tampering" is normal photo darkroom work or the result of correcting overly-copied material...not the boogie man.

1st, you are not dealing with "original" NASA material. NO ONE does. Old Apollo material has been copied DOZENS of times in most cases. You may be using copies that 3rd parties have cropped to remove text or vignetting caused in the copying process. 2nd, name an organization that releases ALL their photos without touching them up for PR purposes. At least NASA releases both PR AND raw materials (fairly close to original) on request.

I'm indifferent, if there is evidence to believe this then I will consider it. I found 3 of these images and did the color adjustment myself. AS12-51-7541 is a good one to consider. The original hi-res photo does not contain these blacked out sections, no cropping. Honestly I believe you doctored the photos or were duped with low-res photos or with images that were encoded twice. Also there are better methods to detect image manipulation.

and also, ever heard of scanning, dirty glass plate, dirty original photos, automatic removal of background during scanning etc. etc. Where did your picture sources come from? From the net in 2009 or from books from the 1970s? Scanned or what?. Scanning artifacts, media artifacts, jpeg/graphics artifacts. No mystery here as I can see whatsoever. The square areas you show are results of image stitching where some parts of the image data was merged with other images, thus not color corrected etc.

If you say NASA did not have the capability to digitally process & manipulate imagery back in the 1960s using computers, then you are 100% WRONG, and you have no idea about the declared digital image processing tech that JPL-IPL fully ADMIT they had even BEFORE Apollo went to the Moon! JPL-IPL were even ADMITTEDLY using digital image enhancement tech in 1964 during the Ranger Program! NASA does not deny this! They publicly admit that they had these capabilities back then!

Basically they took the pictures and then they edited out what they didn't want us in the public to see which is wrong. we diserve to know what's going on around us, people are paying taxes which parts of it is going to NASA's research, they wouldn't be where they are now without our money.

The most interesting and obvious fact of the photographic manipulation of the bite numbers chosen as in "1" or "2" versus the "0" black boxes is the fact that these numbers weren't arbitrarily chosen, but picked specifically. So, the evidence indicates that while the images were obfuscated, the photo editors had enough integrity to leave their signatures saying that "here" is where we hid the truth; otherwise all the values would have been "0"...anything other than zero is a deliberate choice.

Check the cameras they used, the film, the shielding, and ask yourself if it could have survived a journey through the van allen belts without proper shielding. What are the effects of radiation on film and humans?

Think about x-ray machines, there is a reason the dr stands behind that lead wall, and the end result is the x-rays penetrate your body and affects the film. In space, you have a constant bombardment of this as well as other forms of radiation. I just spent 15 minutes refreshing my memory with the effects on humans, but if i can, i'm sure you can and would understand it better than me explaining it. =]

@rodgymac Is this in reference to the question on film in space? The Van Allen Belt? Even higher radiation on the moons daytime surface? The dead Russian astronauts when they attempted? If so, I have looked into it, quite thoroughly I might add. And the reason the "official" story still makes no rational sense. If you actually had a point, I couldn't tell from the comment, however, you yourself should take that advise and look into things instead of regurgitating the story your maters sell you.

@Rob260259 for arguments sake, say they went to the moon and there were things up there they didnt want the public to see. what were there options? Release no photographs and raise a hell of a lot of suspiscion OR use the best technology they had available at the time to manipulate these images.NASA had to publish something, is it really suprising that 40 years later sophisticated image maniulation software is able to detect the less than perfect doctoring of these images?
