I would like to apply for this job. Well, the (voice) trade. I've already served for more than 8 years in various trades with the Army, but I don't have GCSE's or A-levels. I am currently studying my 2nd year of a language degree though. Anyone know if they'd consider me, having 'alternative qualifications'?
@plasticturd Hi, it might be useful to go down to your local AFCO and speak to the person there as they will be able to look at your qualifications and experience and let you know whether you qualify or not.
I'm looking to be a photographer in the RAF .. But my parents are worried for my safety. I have 5gcses and will hopefully have 3alevels. Maybe a degree in a fee years.
Could anybody tell me the risks and downsides that aren't described in recruitment videos.
Im considering the RAF , i have 5GCSE's im good with computers, fit, active and sharp thinker, i would like to ask what kinda of job would be good for me, and if anybody has any real life experiences they could share with me etc would be a big help feel free to message me. Thankyou Thomas.
I think it depends on what country you're from; currently, if you're in the US there is a shortage of military intelligence soldiers in the army and if you're not on drugs and can score high on the ASVAB you'll probably get in (after completing your AIT training). On the other hand, everyone needs to be able to tell people about what they do, so public speaking skills are pretty key. As for math, understanding relationships between people and things are more important than numbers.
This is the job im aplying for its a brilliant.trade!

Ok, seriously, a guy flying in a helicopter, taking pictures with a camera? Try the US, unmanned drones, much better.

Actually, there are pro's and con's to both and they can use both depending on the requirements and what information they need.

Sounds like the British intelligence analysts are a lot more hands-on than the US

Imagery analyst does sound like an awesome job, at least until public speaking becomes part of it. How much math is required and what kind?
Intelligence analyst sounded cool as well until he mentioned being on the ground with a gun :D
