  • These are really great tutorials. Thanks for posting, I'm very new to PE and your giving me all kinds of neat stuff to mess arond with. THANKS!

  • if you send it in an email to someone will they be able to use the file you saved and upload it to their site from the other computer?

  • @Glen678Music Yes, if you send an image as an email attachment, it can be used by the person receiving the email to upload from their computer.

  • Been trying to get my header positioned, resized and uploaded for some time with no help from the SMF forum - your video was a great help. Thanks.

  • How do you make a custom graphic?

  • I have not been able to do this with Elements 8.0 as it won't recognize what is on the clipboard. Any suggestions? Please help - DrHC13@aol.com

  • yo guerrilla bill how do u make your name like that plz reply SOMEONE

  • @iSWAGGERED You first need to join the YouTube Partner program. Then on your YouTube account, on your channel page, you'll see 'branding options', and that's where you can upload a logo that will appear above all your YouTube videos.

  • is this to the youtube name ???

  • Can you tell me the correct site of the vid?

  • @UnicornProductionsUC Search my web site bmyers com for 'brand and youtube' . The first result will take you to the article

  • Thanks for this tut. But I have a question, I wanna show this logo I made as my Title, just like you did, it says GuerillaBill in yellow, how do you show the logo there?

  • @UnicornProductionsUC That logo option is enabled at YouTube if you are member of the YouTube Partner program. The option is found under the channel branding options. I have a video on my site at bmyers com that shows how to do it.

  • Thanks for the video tutorial I had this program for so long and never tried making a logo

  • i dont have theme settings plss helpp

  • tnx

  • great video!

  • Thanks ... great tutorial ..

  • Can this be done with any other Adobe software, such as "Photoshop?" or Fireworks?

  • This can be done with Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, and any graphics program that allows you to save transparent .png

  • Thanks, I appreciate your time 5*

  • Hey Bill, I also was needing a little help if u don't mind..Ive got Photoshop elements 7. Im trying to make graphics with no background for my web page..I also do as u say and when I upload to my site it still had a background..is there something Im messing?....

  • To keep the transparency, you either have to save as transparent gif or transparent .png

  • Bill,

    Great tutorial.

    Need a little help though.

The inserted image from from clipart isn't transparent even after following all the steps you provide.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks,

    Mark

  • Be sure to choose transparent background as shown at :48 in video.

Be sure to save as .png to preserve transparency as shown at 5:40

  • Did exactly as described.

The logo it self shows transparency it is the white space from the clipart image that is still showing.

followed the same steps as in tutorial - used the magic wand > edit > delete - that works but still shows white around the image.

Sorry to take up your time and thanks again,

    Mark

  • See 3:56 in the video.

  • Thanks Bill

  • where do you upload the actual picture into on the website? the public folder, describe where?

  • Depends on your web host. But in most cases, just load it into the main folder for the web site - public_html or something similar.

Then enter the url to the graphic as uploaded into that folder into SMF or whatever program you are using.

  • FTP the graphic to your web site. Then to check its location, enter the url where the graphic should be.

If you don't find the graphic at the url, it will not show on your site.

Find the correct url of the graphic, and enter that on your site.

  • To get the logo onto the web, use FTP to upload to your web site.

Then as shown at 6:18 in the above video, enter the URL of the logo, based on where you ftpped it to, into SMF

  • wow nice thx!

  • bc of u i have a awesome logo!!!! u wanna see it????

  • thank you soo much!

  • Bill, that was an absolutely awesome tutorial, thank you!

  • hey bill i was just wondering how to i get like a picture or logo above my name on youtube beside the video and on my channel

  • See my YouTube video, 'Customizing your free YouTube Channel Page'

  • Whats the website you put this on?

  • This is just an example. No real web site for treasuretalk

  • Thank you, Bill. Great video as always!

  • err is elements better than photoshop itself

  • Photoshop Elements is the 'light' version of Photoshop.

  • Your videos are amazingly helpful, I use most of them! XD

  • You are using Photoshop Elements 5.0, right?

Is Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 similar and good as well?

    Great Video...

    Thank you

  • Yes, I use PhotoShop Elements 5.

Photoshop Elements 7 is very similar - with a few additional features.

  • Thanks Bill.

Whats the Different between PS & PS Elements ?

  • About $400 . . .

Actually for most of the things I do, PhotoShop Elements is the better tool. Easier to use, has most of the features of PhotoShop, and costs 1/5 as much as full blown PhotoShop.

  • I think "full blown" photoshop is the better :P

  • You are using Photoshop Elements 5.0, right?

But is Photoshop Elements 7 similar and also good?

    Great Video

    Thank you...

  • Yes, I used Photoshop Elements 5 in this video. Elements 7 is very similar

  • Cool
