Ah, yes, Afghanistan. It's mission was at first, rather noble, remove the Taliban from power (Why couldn't they do this any sooner baffles me) and take Osama bin Laden (A former US ally) captive. Fair enough.

But what has the war in Afghanistan devolved to? Troops have been there for a decade and it looks like they'll be there for the foreseeable future. support of the Taliban among the Afghan people is increasing and now, villages are being flattened in the name of "rebuilding".

And before you try to say the Soviets were evil, keep in mind that we worked with them during the war. Also, let me ask you which is worse: a Capitalist government trying to force everyone to accept their society and beliefs or a Communist government that as soon as the war is over they leave the government.
