he is misused. the role he enjoys in is striker/left forward, not midfielder (he played LM for Serbia, but it's Standard where he was a striker and scored lots of goals). Roy's big mistake was giving Aquilani out for loan and buying the aging Konchesky. LFC does not need that player. a winning team would be in 4-3-3: Reina| Aurelio| Agger| Carra| Johnson| Meireles| Poulsen/Lucas| Gerrard| Jovanović| Torres| Cole. Guaranteed.

Roy is just out of his mind. He just buy the guys which were rejected by their previous clubs. There was no need of buying Poulsen & Konchesky. He is ruining the club more than what Rafa was doing.

It never was their game, it never will be. I personally think that Rafa should have had another chance to manage L'pool. Roy Hodgson is just a degraded version of Rafa Benitez.

The problem is that the void left by Xabi Alonso was not filled & now with Mascherano gone,they do not dictate the play. Mascherano & Gerrard just nuetralized the Arsenal midfield in the 1st game but after that since he left the club, Poulsen is doing nothing. And now after buying meireles, Roy doen't know where to play him. Deep deep crisis ahead until January comes.

@ravishjaggi unfortunately i have to agree with everything you said. also, LFC misses a CB that would be regular (read: not injuring as often as Agger) and a lot more reliable than the likes of Škrtel. Meireles is a good buy, but he can't play CDM as RH intents. the only way to play Meireles is to put Gerrard a little more upfront, what Hodgson refuses to do unfortunately. i agree that selling of Xabi is a large loss. and the loss of Riise proved to be fatal for the left side too.

Well right from the start I doubted that Roy Hogdson wass really out of his mind & now he is really proving. buying players like Poulsen,Konchesky & then afetr the departure of Mascherano, he buys Meireles which initially looks like a good buy but he doen't know where to play him. Loss of masherano will cost his job I think. He was irreplacable.

Riera & Luis Garcia were good players but were not treated well by Rafa. Over relied on Torres & Gerrard. Alonso was sold & not replaced well & now Mascherano is gone too. The club is sinking very fast. Next year Torres would be gone. I hope new owners come & buy some good players.
