I want to see a video of the water skipping like they do on snowmobiles at high speeds across lakes and things that would be a neat video and i wonder if this set up would allow the bike to skim like the snowmobiles do.
I can see it now. There will be competitions featuring these as the main event. All year moto cross!! Nice Job. You have invented more than just a new item. This will be big!! Hell I can even see this with trykes soon enough.
Hahah yeah i mean the track, just didnt remember the name for it =P Yeah like everyting else it's not forever! But i'll send you an mail trough the weekend. the season's over for this year thou, but thank you very much for responding and talk to you later!
yeah i'll make sure to do that! It's a shame that snoxcycle dont have a dealer in scandinavia, or at least europe! Would be sick to try it out! I really like the way the wheel is made.. i dont know but i think on the explorer kit when it looks like you have only a wheel to push the "carpet" dont know what u guys call it? at only the weight of the motorcycle.. when the carpet starts to get a little bit old the wheel is gonna tear apart the carpet in a blink
We are currently working with dealers in Europe, Finland, and Russia. Contact us through the website and we can look at getting you in touch with one.
I believe you are referring to the track when you say carpet? It is very similar to a snow mobile track and as durable. Eventually the track will have to be replaced, just as a snow mobile.
this sure do look insanely fun! But anyone of you guys tried it? I'm gonna buy a kit but i dont know if i should buy this one or the explorer kit.. This looks more serious racing to me but.. Thanks for answer
The kit actually rides like a bike does. The advantages of the SnoXcycle kit are that it handles more like a bike, it cuts better, it climbs well, it has better control in snow. Additionally, it is the lightest, and has the most efficient power transfer from the bike to the snow, and can also be used on any bike that is 250cc or higher. You can view actual rider reviews on the website under the Recent Announcements link
Ha. sure...if you want to go play in the sand. But if you want a bike to actually handle in snow about the same as it does in the dirt, than paddle tires are not the answer. There's a reason products similar to this were engineered, to fill a niche with riders who want the control and speed of riding, only in the snow.
Fair enough gripe...although understand this kit really isn't a replacement for a snowmobile. It is for people who love to ride their bikes and want to do so in the snow. The kit rides like a bike, and handles like a bike, not a snowmobile.
I looked at your videos, and obviously you're a sledder. These are not snowmobiles...these are for people who love to ride their dirt bikes. Until you have ridden one, you have no way of knowing just how awesome these are!
You should come try one out when we are in your neck of the woods. I think you would be very pleasantly surprised at how well it really does perform. There is a small learning curve as people need to adjust to the feel/control on the snow. That video was shot on Andy's first time ever being on a SnoXcycle kit.
hmm. there were two different machines in this video that I saw did not have shock covers on both sides.... I wonder if they only put one on in the first place? hmm!
I am thinking of getting a snow conversion kit. Does anyone here own one of these. 2moto's kit looks a lot better. But I was just looking for user reviews.
@mmolesky 2moto is also a good kit , but over $1000.00 more I own and ride with the snowX kit , but prefer my ice racing tire on the front when the snow isn't that deep .
It actually has been well engineered and holds up quite well under the punishment riders dish out through the winter months! We have had kits with thousands of miles of snow riding put on them with nothing but minor adjustments done.
you must not be a biker! Of course this isn't the exact same as a sled, but for true off-road bikers, riding your bike in the snow...there is nothing like it!!
@iloveextremesports1 sorry, it couldn't my cr 250 could probly but not any ttr. the quad would kill it. bikes are better but not with that much cc displacement
belive me when i say that i've put it through hell and back. i had it out just last week when we were having a rainy christmas in southern Ontario, i'm surprised it's still running.
yes its only half as wide as it should be , i have the explorer kit 11.5 wide works great, the 2 moto looks good to but i havent seen one becides vids
Im sorry but most of this vid makes this look like crap. i mean they stumple in the bumps they wernt gettin any traction they fell off and they dont look like anything you can ride for any longer than fifteen min
I appreciate the review! There is no argument that snow provides a different ride, but believe me, snow is ride-able and its EXHILIRATING! Every Saturday, there are tanks refilled time and again on these units after hours and hours of shredding! A FOX News reporter caught up with a group last weekend in Utah and spent over 3 hours with them out riding. Perhaps you should try one. Why own both, seems kinda stupid to own something as expensive as a dirt bike or snowhawk and only be able to use it part of the year. This way you can use it year round
Both myself and other riders equate it closely to riding in sand. The hook-up feels the same, while the slolom like carving is unlike anything experienced on a bike. Climbing/high marking is alot like sand as well.
Yeah, this is an '06 Husaberg 450fe, and it makes an awesome snobike. Plenty of power!
