Hey, I just bought these yesterday, haven't used them for online gaming yet. Do I HAVE to connect them to the tv for the headset to work or can I just connect it to the Xbox controller like to original xbox headset?

Problem one: You mentioned that it doesn't get as loud as other headsets can... I've talked to someone with extensive knowledge on headsets like this. It's actually just the rubber on the speakers loosening up. Give it a month. It'll get better.

The microphone? no, sadly, but out of that you still can use them for the PC to play World of Warcraft or just to listen music on an mp3 player. It's a very handy pair of headphones, quite beat turtle beaches.

i have these and they are average. They get uncomfortable for me and they are somewhat fragile. They are good for the price though and they sound better than the turtle beaches in base and middle (i tested). Like he said though it is hard to hear teammates but its not terrible. My opinon is that if you are on a very tight budget or you are a low to middle competitive gamer they are great. If your looking for the best quality, dont get these then, get some surround sound headphones

Please research headsets before getting this because this headset is poor quality. For 10 bucks more u can get a turtle beach that is much better quality I promise my friend has this headset. I bought these a few months ago and after about five months, they stopped working. Luckily I was able to open the headset and re-solder the wires inside. About a week after I fixed that part, the plastic part that allows you to adjust the fit broke. After fixing that the other one for the left side broke as well. They were nice while they worked but they broke easily, just like every other skullcandy product I've bought. They have all been nice while they worked but they broke easily.
