  • Oh God, this is sad news. Slacker and especially this tune changed my younghood - this was one of the main reasons that made me a clubber in the 90's. R.I.P.

  • Nick P. from Tilt told me of his passing, really sad news :( RIP dude, part of my 90s soundtrack.

  • RIP DJ Slacker

  • RIP

  • @xtollo I didn't realise until you put this message on here... Such sad news. One of my favourite producers from the 90s :( the world has lost a musical genius.

  • I'm from plymouth and know this is an anthem here, but swear to God she is walking through the quarry/path by billacombe road, I swear this was filmed after a night out as we've all seen very similar things! Fucking amazing track! Reminds me of raves on dartmoor/lee moor!

  • @compulzionmusicgroup P.S (This is 'Louk' by the way on the work account) Anyone as gutted as you that they didn't include the breakdown, best most eeriest bit of the tune! x

  • @compulzionmusicgroup funny you say that, this clip was recorded when I was living in Plymouth in 97... Around the time Pete Tong "dropped it" at Screem / Oz / The Warehouse ;-)

  • bring back the memories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • love it! loved it! love it! more! where are those days?

  • ohhh yeahh... remember this... love this... miss those days...

  • Awesone track. one of my all time favs. does anyone know where the vocal sample comes from?? glow styx have just used it on there new album and it reminded me of this great tune. maybe a film? i know the synth is from peter gabriell ost.

  • Stunning.

  • 13 years and I still have the youth in spirits - god bless and make every single day or weekend count !! Cheers

  • ah a memory, ta

  • I loved the 90's

  • what a track!!!!... had the honor to play with slacker many years ago... still one of my favorite tunes ever heard...

  • I was wondering if he was still going strong, and discovered some recent stuff on Discogs :) will have to check it out!

  • I listened to them already, but not comparable to "scared" it's still the masterpiece... the newer releases are a bit experimental...

  • First Heard this In a Dublin niteclub Many moons ago ....I Think Keno Belted this out many a time ...

  • i have the full extended version of this song but its not the best quality rip....beginning minute of the song is a little distorted :(

has anyone got a clean rip? if so message me i will make it worth your time!!

  • I have it on my oldskool 2 playlist.

Rip it using Youtube clipextractor, free on the net,

Then use AVS video converter , free on the net.

Separate the video from the music and HEY PRESTO !!! you've got the MP3

I've quite a few banging tunes on the playlists so work away!!!!

  • @marklp1 can u be done for this

  • No......

Youtube provide a clip extractor. Once your not selling what you rip off the site well then your not really doing anything wrong. Anyways...who's gonna tell on you??

Taping off the radio is exactly the same thing.....and when was the last time someone was done for that??? no m8 ...work away

  • I remember in '96-'97 coming home from a nights pubbing and clubbing, and watching Club Nation on ITV, and seeing this video and hearing this quality classic for the first time ever!. Why on earth is there no modern club programmes on tv?.

  • Awesome! I can't get enough of this track. Slacker are genius

  • Where's the f*%&ing breakdown!? "I'll dance, until the end.." and then it goes all wavey.. I'll search for another version, I first heard this on Pete Tong Essential Mix in 1996 I think.. It may have been 97. I dunno. It brings back the memories though.. this and Y Traxx!

  • I believe that's the Lonely Traveler mix of "Scared". Awesome track, I must say.

  • The beats are so massive and pumping... this tune didn't lose any of its brilliance.

  • This one is for Ritchie Owen from Malahide Ireland.....AVE IT sunshine :p

  • The best.Perfection.

  • The best release on XL Recordings in 97!

  • classic!

  • FINALLY!!! I've been looking for this video and song for quite sometime.. The first time I saw it, it was featured on MTV's AMP... This is a super dooper great song!!! It takes me places... LOL!!!

  • This is one of the sickest club tracks from the mid 90's full stop. It's up there with Neuro - xcabs. Sublime days in Sydney were the best.

  • just bought a promo only version 12'' version cost me a fortune but don't care gonna drop it with the new stuff that class should still go i hope Lol don't care it's a classic to all clubers

  • Nice!! I still own the cd single to this song which was very hard to find.

  • never get tired of listening to this :)

  • Freakin LOVE this song!!! But it was so hard to find. :-(

  • What a gem of a tune...reminds me of being in the System Nightclub( South Ann Street)...bopping away in 1997 in Dublin.

  • Been looking for the video of this for ages - brilliant song, excellent memories dancing to this and it still has its rigthful place in my mp3 collection

  • I think this is one of the proper club classics. God knows why it wasn't more popular, it rocks :)

  • i have a load of tunes written down and this was there,i couldn't place it until now :)

  • This was when I first started clubbing. My all time favourite dance track. Can still see everyone in The Tunnel in Glasgow out of their nuts with their hands in the air!! Magic!!

  • Classic!
