  • i come home and sit at my piano for a time writing down some bits and peices of a song and then i listen to people like him and it makes me want to cry lol

  • The end and the beginning.are sick. Those made me think about what I've missed and what will come..

  • This sounds nice and a little bit dark.

  • Just wonderfull....

  • so beauliful <3

    Piekne <3

  • God mumbles this while waiting for his sushi delivery.

  • There is only one word for : INDESCRIBABLE

  • Really nice, but ripping off George Winston big time, and if you don't know who he is, check him out and you'll see what I mean.

  • @slaphaddalztick

What play of Winston are you referring to? I've listen to a few and so far did not find one that resesembles "La Chute".

  • @1341300 I was really referring to the style and the sound rather than any particular piece of Winston's, so perhaps I over stated it when I use the words " ripping off ", but if you listen to ' Moon ' by Winston, which is a long piece over seven minutes, you will find that the second half of this piece, which he composed five years later than the first, you will find that La Chute is similar, well, I hear it that way anyhow.

  • @slaphaddalztick Well first, Happy New Year, and thanks for the clarification, and if; in the process, I discover another great artist then all the better.

  • @1341300 and a very Happy New Year to you too!

  • This is so heart-filling.

  • So beautiful !

  • Best piece of piano music ever made imo.

  • What a beautiful piece music

  • this is so unbelivebly beutiful... this music is like an umbrella that isolates you from the rest of the world, and it is a great feeling.

  • @agata2604 Have you heard any of Olafur Arnalds material.....such emotion and beauty!!!

  • Vraiment magnifique!

    Un pur chef d'œuvre musicale.

  • 18 personnes qui n'ont pas de vie !! Comment peut on détester ça ?

  • Beautiful, beautiful music--------Belle, belle musique.

  • A 18 personas no las chutaron XD

  • this is yann tiersen.

  • I adore Yann Tiersen music, mostly because od Amelie. When i heard La Noyee and Comptine i thought that it is imposible to create something more beautiful and magnificient, but i was wrong.

Thank you Yann for making one lonely guy happy.

  • wow. wow. WOW. wow. amazing.

  • I am so happy to see all those comments in english... YannTiersen is the best piano compositor all over the world, all his compositions, songs, pieces of art, make me feel so well... france for ever!

  • Total apathy and stoic calm. I'll leave this condition eventually, as hard as it is for me to believe. It'll be betrayal...

  • the whole song is, i would dare to say, one of the greatest pieces ever, but that 3:43 - 4:48... no words... just no words that would describe it.

  • I absolutely love it <3

  • Ahhh. Okay, thanks so much @maaskeimorgen

  • I love this. I can't find it on iTunes or Amazon. Is this the correct name of this song?

  • @amgoodwater68 It is the correct name. And I just bought the last cd on Amazon... It's Le Phare.

  • @amgoodwater68 yes it is. "La Chute" from the album "Le Phare".

  • no me canso de escuchar esta canción

  • @aliaseldelincuente tzzz ni yo A:

    musica ke te relaja demasiado!

  • he is cool

  • Just simply wonderful.

I love this man, everything he plays is something.

    Should be more Yann's arround

  • POWERFUL music!!!

  • This is a beautiful piece of music, the piano is a fantastic instrument

  • that's reeaaal music.. And Music is the Best Thing of the World

  • fuck me. the piano has got to be the most beautiful instrument ever.

  • @sammehhX I play guitar, not the piano, but I totally agree.

  • @sammehhX Yeah. Fuck you! Accordion is much better (especially in Tiersen hands)!

  • if everyone started litsen to yann's music the world would be fulfilled with so mush harmony & peace

  • Wundervoll.

    Traurig

  • un genio contemporáneo

  • this actually makes my heart ache a little bit...

  • this piece is a work of transcendent genius!!! YANNNNNNNN TEIRSSSSSSSEN

  • am a huge fan of yann tiersen, am 20 years and have been playing piano for the last eleven years. i love playing Tabarly, Point Mort, and of course La Chute. Recently, am searching for sheet music of Yann´s pieces, but untill now the few aheets i hav seem to be incorret (atleast some of them), but i know that transcribing music isn´t an easy task, since i transcribe music myself and i hope someday i will find the perfect sheets for this piece.

  • incredible...as usual. i really do love Yann Tiersen

  • This song brings me to tears at 1:02 every single time I listen... So much pain and hardy emotion thrown into this piece, one that can be described as nothing less than the simple perfection of sound...

  • I play the piano for eleven years... but this is something special, something which I will never know... I love Yann Tiersen and I love this song!

  • I think the problem alot of people have with a particular genre of music is the way it is promoted over other genre's. Yes, many people may like that particular type, but because it is so heavily promoted people that are interested in other kinds of music, are left out on the wayside. Unfortunately, that is just how things are. Is it fair ? no!

Believe me WE ALL feel the same.

  • @Apocalypsepig Ha! I can tell that you're french cause of the way you translated "en passant". :)

  • @KingK114 I'd wish I'd be able to tell, too! Argh, french is too complicated... But so damn elegant and sexy. xD

  • 14 People don't know how to click the replay button.

  • realmente hermoso

  • I hate 5:50 .

  • 0:00 Replay Button.

  • Is this on iTunes or no?

  • loved!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • loved!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Stunning

  • Who dislikes this??

  • EMI's gonna take this away from my country soon. Like those other Yann Tiersen masterpieces. :( No wonder people download songs...

By the way, this is just amazing.

  • Beautiful

  • @ABoffman i know what you mean, but must also understand that it´s not just anything. Those people, who say i´m listening to other music don´t mean that they are something better. They just want to say, i don´t like mainstream, cause i know what good music does mean

Sprobuj wykorzystac te muzyke do nabrania odrobiny oglady.

  • @Seikichaan Wokół wspaniałe pochwały we wszystkich językach świata a nam, Polakom, wystarczy właściwie jedno słowo - góra dwa - na opisanie wszystkich uczuć xD

Wot i wsio.

  • I love it when I wake up in the morning and my brother is playing a Yann Tiersen song on the piano -- such an amazing feeling to just lie down and listen to the beautiful music!

  • @Ashley04Samantha i wish i had someone who did that for me.. a million times better then an alarm clock :)

  • This goes right through your heart.

  • To all those passing stupid comments about this video - please go and listen to your favourite music and leave me here to listen to mine - if you hate it, nobody cares, if I commented on every youtube vid I hated I will be posting comments all day.

  • ILL SEE HIM LIVE TOMORROW! I think, i'm gonna die ... I'm gonna be one of those screaming teenagers, who'll be all hysterious and faint, one of those, you'd think, you'd never meet at a Tiersen-concert. xD

  • @tomdopdakar Ofcourse I'm not. I suppose you'll be there too? Or you didn't really like my comment? Or you think I think he's going to perform this kind of music at the concert? I'm not that stupid.

  • @maaskeimorgen I just answer "..." what's your problem ?

  • @tomdopdakar Oh, fuck off. I've just seen him live, I don't give a shit about you... It was ecstatic... AND YOU SHOULD BE JEALOUS AT ME. Pfthh... Love...

  • @maaskeimorgen You are the kind of people I sincerly hate, hysterical and stuff, learn to deal with your hormones.

  • This sounds a lot like Philip Glass, his metamorphosis movements etc

  • This sounds a lot like Philip Glass, his metamorphosis movements etc

  • I'm 14. And this is my favorite "classical" song. Period. I also love deathcore, dubstep, electronic music, rap, acoustic, and basically any other form of music. Not every teenager has to be musically ignorant.

  • @XxDakoTaTheDinoxX It's not classical, its modern piano.

  • @tomdopdakar I didn't know piano was a genre of music.. ? >.>

  • @XxDakoTaTheDinoxX Thats why I said "modern piano". And when you're 14 you know few things about life.

  • @tomdopdakar I like how you went from being helpful, to being an arrogant douchebag. Thanks man. Thanks for the knowledge for my tiny 14 year old brain.. >.> Bitch.

  • @XxDakoTaTheDinoxX I didn't expect a more mature reaction :) And yeah, 14 is pretty young for knowledge, you probably spent more time on Pokemon than on improving your culture and your knowledge.

    Peace anyway.

  • @tomdopdakar It's funny how adult trolls waste their jampacked lives to try and insult children. Kind of pitiful actually, if you think about it. (: Haven't you got anything better to do? Probably not. Kind of sad. Waste of a life. Well. Whaaatever. Enjoy the song, asshole, and stop trolling "children". Fucking creeper.

  • i started listening to classical and other "different" music at 15. i realized the majority of young kid genres were negative influences on my mental/emotional/spiritual state. just 4 years later, i am an avid fan of tiersen, satie, ma, and hope to start attending performances at my local concert hall, once i can afford it, of course ;)

  • I think, this one evolved into Sur Le Fil.

  • @tomdopdakar

Do you believe that age is reflective of musical experience and/ or exposure?

The beauty of this piece is drawn from its simplicity, as it is with much of Tiersen's work- it is in this that it can effectively communicate to so many audiences.

"Most amazing music" cannot be determined by its complexity or the technicalities it contains. The "most amazing music" is what you believe it to be.

As far as I'm concerned, music cannot be categorised into "real" and imagined or fake.

    :)

  • his music... is so beautiful...i wish i could play the piano like him someday :)

  • HOORAY FOR ALL THE YOUNG PEOPLE RECOGNIZING ONE OF THE MOST TALENTED MUSICIANS ON EARTH

  • WHOA! this is intense.. i must hear more of this

  • I was on a college visit when I heard someone play Mother's Journey. I almost cried. I asked for the Composer and the title of the song. As I listen to all Yann's work, I find myself crying and practicing my piano more and more. I am 16 turning 17. I have told as many friends as I can about Yann. This music is some of the most amazing music I have ever heard.

  • Your young age might explain why this is the most amazing music you ever heard. I like Tiersen alot (I'm actually playing this song on piano), but there are plenty of wonderful pieces, especially in classical music.

Tiersen songs are simplistic, not to say minimal, but it still sounds good. But that's the reason it cant be a real "most amazing music".

  • @tomdopdakar

exactly that simplistic you talk about is the way what make Yanns composing genius! Its the way he compose those masterpieces. It dont need technicaly highversity. the art in music is to keep it simple and get feedbacks like Yann get from all over the World. Its not that hard to write a song what just a small circle of Musicians can understand but its hard to compose a masterpiece! Yann found his way to speak to all ppls on the Planet. not just to a small group.

  • @TehNagiKing Interesting point of view :)

  • @Ihaveonly1jack I'm 16 too, and I've played piano for about 9 years, and sometimes I lose hope because I'm so bad at sight reading. Then I listen to Yann and I get inspired again it's magic! I tell everyone who asked about piano about him!

  • exceptional ~!

  • I'm fourteen, I'm in love with this, and I am.. How's it spelt, self-presticious...? AND I'm convinced, it requires quite a bit more brain to like this music(aka less predictable music, like, unlike pop, which is - you know - the same again and again and again) ... THEREFORE i think, im in some odd way a little kind of a strange way smarter than those who like pop.. from my class.. AND also, I'm aware, I'm unbelievably(?) stupid and naive beacuse i even bother to say this.. cause. who cares.

  • it kills me when i go back to youtube home page after listening to this song and i see "FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY!"...THIS song deserves to be on the front page of youtube 4evernever

  • I love nearly all of his music, the piano pieces are just great, some are just very calming, others have such deep emotion that tears come to my eyes while listening and others again are full of joy and lighten up my day... His music is very special...

  • Every single classical song on youtube has a bunch of you fucking losers all pretending that they are better than everyone else because you know what "good" music is....You dont know shit. Music is something that is unique to each person. Notice how there is a dislike button? its because music speaks to everyone differently. Get your head out of your ass you self pretentious fuck. You are no different, you are not "special" because you listen to classical, and your sure as hell not better.

  • @NtS5555 By definition these "pretentious fucks" are only talking to other fans of the same music so, rather than commenting on classical music videos kindly piss off and listen to whatever it is you like listening too, while you're at it you could question why it is you feel so insecure.

  • I'm so sick of all these gay comments that are like "I'm 12 and I like this music and all my freinds like lady Gaga."

Do you want a fucking cookie for enjoying good music because you're young? You're not special, go suck a goat off.

  • @ABoffman shutup

  • Comment removed

  • @ABoffman what if i was 9 and can play this beautiful piece on piano and it blows you and your goat away

  • @michaderstricha but the thing is , that your only further puching his pethetic point futher that people look for attention . im just saying if you want to be the mature person , just be silent and let him sink in the pool of his own thaughts that make no sense

  • @YOUNGTALENT2010 and what are you looking for with your comments ? ;)

    we are all equal haha

  • Because you've got good taste- using gay as an insult?

  • I'm sorry I offended your delicate virgin ears, faggot.

  • @ABoffman you're a shame for humanity. you shouldn't be allowed to be walking this planet. i hope i didn't offend you're idiot's ears, douchebag

  • @ABoffman I agree with you on the part that you shouldn't be bragging off for the fact that you listen to music with real quality... But you have to admit that being young and listening to music like this, makes someone kinda special considering the crap that is being sold these days. Few teenagers get to taste real music like this, and that's something we should rather encourage

  • @DreamingForANewDawn

I never quite understand all those complaints about music anyways. Where is the problem when different people like different music. Everyone should listening to the music they like and not complain about that their music is so much better and other genres eg. screamo or rap are shit. And why do you reckon that most the music is being sold today is crap? Just like to hear your point of view? :)

  • @pianistpiper I don't actually bash other music genres. I appreciate the people who dedicate their selves to the art they have chosen. Some people like to write rap, some like to write screamo. As long as they do it for the sake of the art then it's ok. Now they of course have to get paid for that, i'm not saying they shouldn't, but that shouldn't be the goal. What annoys me is that most 'artists' now produce music only for the money, and not for the sake of the art.

  • @DreamingForANewDawn

Or, you could do it because you have a talent and want to profit from it and don't give a shit about art? Nobody cares anymore, money is the one thing we can put faith in and that's what everyone will seek.

  • @rocketjizzfarm if you don't give a shit about art then yet try to profit from it for me is one of the most blasphemic thing you could do, not only towards society but to yourself too.

  • @DreamingForANewDawn Well, if you can produce something others think is art and still don't care about it then why the fuck not do it to make yourself money? It's not blasphemy. There is nothing there to do with God. Philistine on the other hand, that I could have accepted.

  • @rocketjizzfarm

That is just ignorant. Money is essisential because 75% of society thinks like you do. And that is a shame.

  • @Darktobi211 Well, the other option is Communism. We as a species are not altruistic, we are selfish and always looking to get something out of life. Money is always going to be around. Get used to it faggot.

  • @rocketjizzfarm

Then i would like Communism better. So shut up.

  • @DreamingForANewDawn well the songs that make money are usually enjoyed by the most people and thats why they get the $. What is wrong with writing a song that will make people happy even though some people won't enjoy *arts fags.

  • @ABoffman um im 18 and enjoy this music no matter what age u are u can enjoy this music but who cares about those comments? are u seriously so immature where u have to go tell them to suck a goat off wow i dont think thats what this musician had in mind when he thought of people talking about his music why dont u learn to be nice?

  • @ABoffman you certainly have a right to tell them off, being the pillar of maturaity you are.

  • And i'm so sick of all people like you always say the word " gay " when they want to insult someone. (im agree with the rest of youre comment)

  • @pln29 :) FUCK HOMOPHOBIA

  • @pln29 *your...

  • @courtdwest It's you're, not your... stupid.

  • @InnocentPessimist uh nope.. its definitely "your". unless you think ," i agree with the rest of YOU ARE comment" makes sense. don't call me stupid until you know what you're talking about.

  • @courtdwest I thought it would be a started insult, not finished.. like your mother... that's why I corrected to your.

What do I know... I'm swiss anyway.

  • @pln29 Gay.

  • @ABoffman I'm 17 and i like this music and all my friends like lady gaga!!muhahahahha..no sorry i'm just kidding...i think about it just like you...What can you do? children fucking

  • @ABoffman just chill man and listen :)

  • I've damaged my youtube replay button.......

  • @ilovetruemusicreally I'm gonna have to report you for that ; )

  • Does anyone know where I can buy this song???

  • this piece makes you feel not only the music

  • This song needs a repeat button....

  • simplemente sublime...

  • beautiful, bravo

  • Simply Beautiful.
